A very caring professional
I will only use Dr Zhang for my colonoscopies. He explains everything that is going to happen during the procedure. I have to admit my first procedure I was a nervous wreck but his bedside manner calmed me throughly. My second procedure was a piece of cake knowing I was in good hands. Highly recommended.

Very frustrated with my visit today. Waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time, only to hear him talking in the hallway about non-work related topics. Then he went into another patients room. I left. Doctors these days have no respect for peoples time. Today was my only day off for months. What a waste of my time. Never again. This seems to be a common practice at Alliance Medical group.

God and Dr. Zhang saved my life! He was there when I needed the best surgeon. My colon had ruptured and I was in sepsis. His interns were amazing too!!! But forever I will thank God for providing Dr. Zhang as my surgeon. He is a blessing to all who have needed him.

Dr. Zhang is competent and compassionate. He has excellent communication skills with his patient and her family. I felt my daughter was in good hands when she went into surgery and she is now successfully recovering.

It was really magic operation from Dr. Zhang. I was referred by my friend and drove 1.5 hour to make my Colonoscopy exam trip in Waterbury Hospital because of Dr. Zhang who has excellent skills and profession as well as how he cares about the patient. His team was so warm and treat me like VIP with pleasant experience. After the surgery, it was so surprised to me, I did not feel any uncomfortable in my body, I felt like I did not had any anesthesia and did not have surgery at all ! No pain at al

What an experience!! We waited an extended period of time to be seen by Dr. Zhang and then he was very rushed with us. The receptionist was very nice but the M.A. had a very poor demeanor. She acted like we were a pain for being there. She definitely was an unhappy individual. Won't be going back.

Dr. Zhang explained everything to me from a surgical perspective. He resected my colon robotically, made sure that all was contained, made sure that all samples were properly accounted for and that pathology was done promptly. Not only did he perform the surgery in an outstanding manner, he also has a nice bedside manner. He performed the reversal of my ileostomy and I am now doing great, cancer free!

My 92 yr old Mom had a huge incarcerated hernia. Dr Zhang operated. Mom loved his easy going and reassuring way. He made her laugh and she felt totally comfortable and secure with him. Very straight-forward and listens to what you have to say. At 92, this was hugely important for her recovery. She is 100% better than pre-surgery.

I didn't have a visit, he performed expert surgery and saved my life. Dr. Z is excellent, just beware of his office staff who tend to view patients as cases not humans.
