This “doctor” sucks pt 2
O SCOLIOSIS. Moral of the story; Don’t waste your time with overconfident “doctors” who choose to trust their insufferable egos over actual medical testing. My scoliosis got notably worse in the time between the appointments, but I couldn’t do much about it because since she basically refused to test me for it, I didn’t have a diagnosis in my files until after talking to my primary care about it. I actively recommended against going to her if you have the choice. I’m guessing she’s typically this arrogant because when I told my story to my primary care and mentioned her by name, she laughed as if that kind of behavior is nothing new from her.

ABSOLUTE WORST!! IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!!
She was my first Adult Medicine doctor after turning 18. After having suffered an injury at work, naturally I went in for an appointment. Told her about my wrist injuries. She asked what I do and I told her I was currently working to save up as I was a future nursing student in which she replied that I could NEVER be a nurse with my weak wrists. She even told me I was not strong enough for such a profession and to pick something else. I was shocked at the unprofessionalism and how absurdly rude AND condescending she was! I have never had such a terrible doctor in my whole life. Her extremely rude comments and lack of empathy left me crying after my appointment. Changed doctors that same day. Will never forget how terrible she was.

Don’t waste your time
A while ago I went to her instead of my primary care for an appointment about back pain, as she was the soonest available appointment. I expressed to her that I had concerns about having scoliosis. Right away after only looking at it, without doing any sort of testing, she just laughed and told me that I don’t have scoliosis. More recently at an appointment with my primary care, I sat with her as she showed me an x-ray of my spine and explained to me that it has curves in it comparable to those of a spiral staircase, more than likely due to scoliosis. Don’t waste your time with “doctors” who trust their insufferable egos over actual medical testing.

I do not recommend her
She has been my doctor for several years now. The only thing that makes Dr. Promes a doctor is her license. She is missing everything else!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Promes for a few years now and each visit leaves me more dumbfounded than the last. I have received multiple misdiagnosis from her and she always speaks with me in a condescending way, even though she has no idea what she’s talking about. She also has no empathy and leaves me feeling unheard and uncomfortable. Avoid seeing her at all costs.

IF I COULD CHOOSE ZERO I WOULD
This Doctor is absolutely horrible. She had the worst "bedside manner". She made assumptions and had zero caring about me as a human let alone a patient. She insulted me and gave me no solutions to my menopausal symptoms. This person should not be practicing medicine.

Don’t bother, find another doctor
In my 57 years, I have never had a doctor treat me the way she did. No empathy, no professionalism, and no answers. Please don’t waste your time if you are looking for quality health care. I gave one star because they don’t allow no stars.

Dr. Promes is very condescending. She knows about my educational background and tried to use that against me and said, "Out of all people, you should know...". What my background taught me is how to be empathetic. She lacks empathy and I end up feeling more hopeless than before my visit started. I changed my doctor as soon as my visit ended today. I am so tired of feeling unheard and treated like I am unreasonable for seeking help.

Don't let Dr. Promes' soft-spoken demeanor and flowery words fool you, she has no empathy. She has been my doctor for a few years now. A couple of years into her being my doctor, I came in for my first appointment that wasn't for a physical and it was as though she morphed into a different person. If she tells you something and you ask a question to learn more, she is condescending. She doesn't suggest options to help you, it's her way or the highway even if there are multiple treatment options. She essentially says, "there there dear," while doing NOTHING while you're suffering from a treatable medical condition for years. The most recent thing she did was tell me something that was completely inaccurate based on SCIENCE. I'm sure we have all heard our fair share of arrogant things come out of a physican's mouth but I have actually never in my life heard a doctor make such an erroneous statement. It was straight-up wrong, something a person with a middle school education should know.

Felt like I was just another cog in the factory belt for the day. Told her about some things going on with me which she felt they were based off lifestyle vs physical issues and when all test results came in I just got a "test look good everything's normal" and no other follow up about the items I was feeling. She's pretty direct which i appreciate but it turns out she's direct because she doesn't seem to care. Straight to the point get in get out done.

Patient Cog – Jul 02, 2019

It’s no accident she always has openings. She is terrible in so many ways. First and foremost, attitude. Very argumentative, in a way that reeks of insecurity. NOBODY should expect an argument every time they see their “GP.” Second, misdiagnosis. This is a broad Kaiser problem, though. It’s unbelievable how many times I have had to insist to “doctors” there what’s wrong. And you would be amazed at MY track record. They truly are gatekeepers (AKA keep costs down).
