Very happy with Dr Schmittling
Dr. Schmittling has always taken time to explain my conditions and outline his recommendations for treatment. He explains things in terms I easily understand, and answers all my questioms. I have full confidence in him, and will continue seeking his expertisein treating my vascular problems. I can recommend him with no reservations.

I would never recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Schmittling did surgery on my left leg to cauterize a vein. He didn't explain what was going on or what he was doing. The anesthesia used caused a burning sensation from my ankle to the top of my leg. It scared me. I didnt know what was going on or if that was normal. Then during the procedure he was "pounding" something in my leg. That's the best way I can subscribe it. He did it about 3 times to the point I was moving on the table with his thrusts. Scary. This dr. has NO bedside manner what so ever. This was a bad experience and I would never see him again ever as a patient. My surgery was in Jan. of 2017. Experience I will never forget.

This guy did a femoral bypass on me that was supposed to fix my circulation issues. He lied when he said it was the only treatment available. The thing failed within a couple months. He then wanted to do another major bypass and lied to me again saying it was my only option. Luckily, I got a second opinion and had stents installed and have been good for years now. He's a quack (in my opinion).

Horrible experience! He's rude, arrogant & hot headed. I certainly hope his surgical skills have improved since our encounter with him 7 years ago. My husband suffered irreparable nerve damage under his care. Also, best keep your questions & concerns to yourself; unless you're prepared for battle! Think about it. If I feel this way after 7 years, you owe it to your health & quality of life to seek care from another doctor. If this review helps just one person... great. God bless.
