I saw Dr George for back issues. I was told I’d need surgery by a pain management Dr and an orthopedic. Dr George advised me to have an EMG and a second MRI. Told me to continue PT which I did. When he called with the results he said I do not require surgery at this time. He’s intelligent and very honest. He has great bedside manner. I recommend him 100%!

Dr. George sat with me and went over my MRI results thoroughly. He is a humble doctor and takes time with you. I saw many doctors for my condition and he was the only one that didnt rush me for surgery, which I needed badly because I had nerve issues. Dr. George was amazing and I am so thankful I used him for my surgery.

Dr. George really takes the time to understand his patients’ concerns, and address them thoroughly. He is honest and up front about treatment options, and even REFUSES to do something if he feels it’s either, not necessary or dangerous. I feel like many doctors (including the guy I originally expected to use) will happily take your money and default to the “big” corrective surgeries. Not Dr. George! I had a smaller surgery with him fairly recently. I felt NO ANXIETY going into surgery. The incision healed quickly and any pain from the surgery was gone within a week or so. What an EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE ! I would highly recommend this gentleman to anyone who needs their back looked at. Keep up the good work, my good sir :)

My pain was severe, so was the Herniation and my spine stability. Dr. George walked me through my options with patience and kindness. Today I am free of pain and on my way to a full recovery. Thank you Dr. George!

From the first consult to my post op appt, Dr. George was amazing. He made me feel so comfortable. Surgery was a success and I'm healing nicely. He addressed any concerns I had and the whole office staff has been great. They were extremely helpful with pharmacy difficulties I was having. I highly recommend Dr. George . After years of consults and searching for a doctor that I trusted… Dr George was who I decided to go with and it was the best decision! I had two fusions in 2021 and am now pain free (finally) and doing great. My husband is now using him to correct the slipped discs in his back. This was my second back surgery performed by Dr. George. My first surgery was a spinal stenosis "cleanout". With a slightly herniated disc and some degenerative discs and my disregard for limiting my activity (yardwork) I needed a second surgery two years later. This procedure was L2/3 L3/4 L4/5 EXTREME LATERAL INTERBODY FUSION AUTOGRAFT ALLOGRAFT AIRO ONLY LAMINECTOMY NEUROPLASTY L2-5 INSTRUMENTED FUSION AUTOGRAFT ALLOGRAFT, BMP-2. ( In laymans terms: rods and screws ). Another complete success by Dr. George. I am now 5 weeks post-op and am pain free. Walking does cause some soreness but this is to be expected as I am still healing. The hip pain, leg numbness and inability to stand for any length of time i was experiencing pre-op is gone. Dr. George's assistants Randi and Keith are top notch as is the office staff, notably Fran. I would certainly meet with Dr. George before you decide on any neurosurgeon. He also is in Newsday's Top Doctors magazine under neurosurgeons !

I had chronic back pain radiating down my right leg for the past 2 years. I tried conservative therapy consisting of chiropractic treatments, exercise, inversion table and TENS treatments, all to no avail. Finally, I consulted with neurosurgeon Dr. Zachariah George who recommended and performed minimally invasive lower back surgery (Partial Discectomy L4-5) with great results on an out-patient basis at a local Surgi-Center in Hauppauge. My back and leg pain were immediately gone following the surgery. Dr. George is an excellent surgeon, very knowledgeable and kind. My husband also was a patient of Dr. George several years ago and underwent a minimally invasive anterior cervical discectomy with artificial disc replacement - also with excellent results. I am a new and happy person thanks to Dr. George. P.A. Randi R. who assisted was also a great member of the team, very pleasant and competent along with the rest of the entire support and office staff. With much appreciation.

Dr George and Fran are always so helpful and treat me with professional care and are genuinely concerned about my well being. Definitely recommend.

This is my second surgery from Dr. George for 2 separate issues, I was so pleased with his work the first time and I needed another surgery and I went straight back to Dr. George without hesitation! Not only is he an excellent surgeon and knows what’s he doing, he’s friendliness and bedside manor is A+++! He takes his time answering any questions that you may have and makes sure that you are making an informed decision before pulling the trigger! His staff is phenomenal from his office staff Elizabeth, Fran and Randi are also amazing and they really keep the office and things running smoothly and without a hitch! Do yourself a favor go see anyone else and then come see Dr. George and his staff and you be confident in their professionalism and respect that you won’t go anywhere else! What’s the old saying, Save the BEST for last!! They are truly the best! Don’t take just my word for it go see them for yourself!

Everyone in the practice, from the front desk to the doctor, were very caring, patient, and knowledgeable.

Dr. George was very thorough reviewing my records and images. He gave me all of my options and clarified their impact and the lenght of time they would last as well as risks. After I chose an option he followed up with a colleague to get me an appointment the next day. He went above and beyond. Thanks to the doc and his staff!!

I love going to see Dr. George! He and his staff always make my visits enjoyable and informative, and they put me at ease about everything. My surgery went perfectly thanks to Dr. George's skills, and he and his PA Randi have been making sure my recovery has been comfortable and smooth. I can't recommend them enough.
