Amazing Dr.

Great Dr. Did the best job of anyone I have seen since being Dx'd with hypothyroid, of explaining how meds work to support my condition. Thorough and knowledgeable.

I almost died because he continued to misdiagnose my adrenal crisis. I fractured my subtalar joint because of loss of consciousness and am unable to walk or stand for more than 30-40 minutes.

I have seen Dr. Nakai for three appointments dealing with hypercalcemia and parathyroid nodules. I have found him to be thorough and well informed. He also has been very patient with the many questions I have regarding my overall health and the specific thyroid issues we are working on together. I always leave his office feeling well supported and well attended. Staff is friendly and courteous. I would recommend Dr. Nakai to friends and family.

I didn't have a good experience with Dr. Nakai or his staff. He had an awkward bedside manner, seeming more interested in convincing me of his qualifications than in addressing my concerns. He didn't ask questions about my general health in connection with the thyroid nodule I was there for, and didn't order tests of my thyroid function or ask that my doctor do so. His office staff didn't update their system with my current insurance information, and I therefore had to deal with a billing snafu.
