Dr. Xue Kong, MD

I saw Dr. Kong when I was sick, and my regular PCP didn't have any openings. I thought she gave me good explanations for all of her advice, and she answered all of my questions. I was highly satisfied, and I would not hesitate to see her again.

I've been seeing her as my primary care doctor since 2013. If I go to the ER her nurse calls the next day. That's very reassuring that she is looking out for the well-being of her patients.

Extremely unqualified. Has repeatedly messed up medication, overprescribes antibiotics, refuses to order necessary diagnostic tests because "ordering a test would require too much paperwork". On top of all this she is rude, unhelpful, and unresponsive. She lacks basic medical knowledge and doesn't even show the willingness to research the medications she prescribes and the conditions her patients show.

I have been seeing Dr. Kong for a few years now (out of necessity not by choice). Every time I see her and bring up a concern, I am brushed aside and told that it is not a big deal. For example, when I explained to her that I was having a lot of trouble losing weight and wanted to see either a dietician or join a weight loss program, she told me to “try harder”. I am also being monitored for hypothyroidism (since I was a kid) and when I request the tests she scoffs at me and says she doesn’t think it’s “necessary.” My time with her is always rushed and she answers my questions with her head down and no eye contact every single time. I wish I could say that it was just one off putting visit but every appointment is like this. I’m sure if you’re healthy as a horse and have no concerns, you’ll have no problem with Dr. Kong. But if you have even a single issue be prepared to be ignored or shut down.

I have been her patient for two years and I will say she is the greatest doctor and I have never any difficulty receiving her service. She is knowledgeable and patient. I just moved to Lowell but I still coming to see her because she is a reliable resource for my health.
