Poor Communication and No Respect for Your Time
I've been seeing Dr. Behari for over 5 years now. It takes weeks to get a phone call or portal message back. I've had stop at his office multiple times to get any sort of response. Appointment times were completely disregarded. At an hour past my appointment time, I'd finally get my vitals checked. Then get sat in another waiting room for an hour. It's common to be at his office for nearly 2 hours, for a 20 minute appointment. He is very knowledgeable, but I cannot take the lack of communication or consideration for my time anymore. I have requested my PCM to transfer me to another endocrinologist.

First off I have been a patient of Dr. Bahari since 2009. When his office was on 9 mile road and he was connected to West Florida was a totally different office and staff. Dr. Bahari I believe is one of the best endocrinologists but running the office is not his expertise and his office staff is lacking office experience to say the least. My prescription always run completely out even though I see him annually. I run totally out of meds before I can get a refill called in or a pre authorization sent. It’s very aggravating and you should never have to run completely out of meds if you’re doing your part and going to your appointment. I hate to leave a bad review because of the way the office is run because I do believe Dr Bahari know the endocrine system and diabetes very well. He is very experienced in both but a medical office needs to run more tests efficiently.

He is consistently late for appointments. I wait over an hour every visit. My appointments are always first thing in the morning, so it is not because he is working with other patients.

Look elsewhere!!!! Worst experience EVER going to this Dr. I'm a cargiver for one of his X-patients and am beyond livid over his lack of concern for a critically ill patient hospitalized with a life threatening condition more than once!! You will only see him creep through the hospital several days to a week later if you happen to be awake between 2-4 a.m.??? His personality and bedside manner is creepy, office staff (son) and billing dept is totally incompetent.

You may wait an hour or so, but you get an hour or so with him. It’s worth the wait to sit with him. His staff responds very quickly and he does using the patient portal. He’s very intelligent and I’m glad we found him to go through our diabetic journey. He’s very thorough, honest, & straight to the point.

This is one of the best physicians my husband has ever had. We plan around the wait time knowing that he will spend the time with us that we need, just as he does with others.
