Dr. Vasantha Samala, MD

I went to Suburban Pulmonary Associates after being diagnosed a few years prior with Asthma and was having more difficulty breathing. Dr. Samala was the physician I saw. After explaining my history and symptoms, she literally said "your medications should be working, I don't know what you want me to tell you." It was the worst experience of my life. I'm a health care professional myself and I was appalled at her lack of empathy and any desire to remotely help me. Looking back, I can now think of several different things I would have done if in her shoes, things I would ask, other providers I would consult. I am a human being, not a pair of lungs. It takes more than just the lungs for a person to breathe, and obviously she was incapable of looking past my list of medications. Such a horrible experience I would never wish for anyone to have. I even called to complain and the manager wouldn't return my call. Hopefully she has since grown and learned from her mistakes.

I just started with Sr. Samala. I was very pleased with her demeanor during my visit. She answered all of my questions and her staff was bee efficient and pleasant. Her office wAs very clean and my wait time was not long.
