Dr. Gratton attempted an atrial fibrillation cardioversion on me utilizing 200 joules. It was not successful. In the recovery room I asked him why he did not increase the energy level and he told me that his protocol is to use only 200 joules regardless of the patient's BMI or size and if at that energy level the patient did not convert, the patient cannot be converted. When I challenged him he turned around and walked off. I was a healthcare provider for over 40 years working at bedside when higher energy levels were needed and were successful. One week later I went to a different doctor who successfully converted me using 360 joules.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. Dr Hratton was very helpful, explaining was was going on. I felt very comfortable about the experience.

Dr. Gratton is thorough, listens to the patient, and genuinely cares. I highly recommend him to anyone needing cardiac care.
