Tonight I was broken ! In one week I went from having a mother that could have a conversation, driving & having a pretty full life to now having a mom I've got to send to a nursing home due to life long health issues. Its been a couple of tough days but I've stayed strong & rolled with the punches because I had to handle the business. But tonight Dr. Thomas Watson broke me ! While at the nursing home dropping off my mothers things my mom was admitted to they alerted me that my mom was perscribed a pain medicine that was on her allergy list & that I needed to get in touch with the hospital to see if there was a mistake. So I began to call .I was then place on hold for long periods of time ,so I decided to just go to the hospital to get the info. I found my moms nurse and explained the issue & asked her to check. She then told me it was on her allergy list & that she had been receiving it for 3 days. She then told me that they could switch her back to a previous pain med she had taken before & that she would contact the doctor. I said ok & that I would be in my mothers room. I was then told that the doctor wanted to speak with me. I went to the nurses station, picked up the phone, said hello and Dr. Thomas Watson began screaming into the phone how he told Me earlier today he was going to give my mother this medicine.(I didnt know it was on some allergy list by the way) & how he doesnt appreciate being disturbed when he's not at work ! How he's taking care of a sick child ! He just kept screaming the same things over & over & I asked him why he was being so combative with me & he just kept going. I was trying to explain that the nursing home wanted this info and he just wouldnt stop. I was completely baffled. Me the nurses were left standing there like "what just happend" ! I could not figure out for the life of me what I did wrong. The nurses apoligized for his behavior but the damage was done. I went out to my car & just cryed for 15 minutes. I am aware that we are all human. We all have to deal with stressful sitiuations but tonight Dr. Thomas Watson I didnt derserve that ! You must treat people with compation. Humility & professionalism. Shame shame shame on you Dr. Watson !

Dr Thomas Watson is the rudest dr. I have ever had encountered. He had a hurried anger temperament. Very rude. I would not recommend him to anyone. Especially if you are advocating care for a stroke/vascular dementia patient, beware. 4/18/23
