Disappointed with customer service
Third year with this doctor, and they suddenly started charging people a mandatory annual fee to see him. My spouse was not notified until the day of that he had a large fee on top of his copay and was expected to pay a large annual fee as well, in cash as they no longer take credit cards. He was understandably upset about this but she was very callous in how she went about explaining it and made it clear that she was unconcerned whether he remained a patient or not. The one place where people should show empathy about other human beings is healthcare, they typically know how people are already scared and anxious about visiting a doctor, especially if unsure about a health scare. She told him she could 'waive' the fee for today, but then proceeded to ask the doctor who very loudly said 'he gets no special treatment.' That is how this practice feels about their patients, their ego is more important than how they treat people.

My mother was Dr. Kravitz's patient for several years. She enjoyed talking with him during his visits and trusted him. Last February she had gone into the hospital with a heart attack. After her release I tried to make an appointment with Kravitz and was told by an unfriendly receptionist that it would take at least 2 weeks because they had to wait for the hospital records (that is a mile away from their office). My mother was hurt by the lack of concern by Kravitz's office. She returned to the hospital & after several weeks was diagnosed in ABQ with end stage pancreatic cancer. While pancreatic cancer is rare, it's not rare when you have a familial history and a predisposing genetic mutation like my mother. As one doctor told me, my mother's doctors in Santa Fe had failed Cancer Genetics 101. Kravitz may be great to talk to when you can get an appointment, but if you want excellent and up-to-date medical care look elsewhere.

Dr. Kravitz is a phenomenal PCP! Unfortunately, I moved out of state 10 years ago and have never found another doctor of his caliber.
