Very unhappy
I am very sad to say that Mr. Dunzendorfer was either having a very bad day today or simply needs to retire. I had a few questions for him at our visit this morning and got one word answers or sarcasm. I finally asked him if he was okay and why he was so grumpy! The office girls agreed with me when I mentioned it to them on the way out. They thought that maybe he was tired. Very unprofessional to take it out on patients. This is a first for me. I’m not usually one to complain.

Another Bad Dr.
Telehealth
Referred by my PCP, had a telehealth appt on a Saturday. This Dr. Is irritable and condescending. At least I got my approval for my MRI. Had MCRI. Results up within 48 hrs. Abnormal results with 4 issues. His office finally called me back 2 .5 weeks later. Receptionist tells me other than a mildly dilated common bile duct all is normal. No it isnt. Normal is up to 3mm, mine is 10mm. I listed off the 4 abnormalities. They didn't know what to say, so I demanded my records be sent to my PCP. Next day I got my new referral to a different place next week who will hopefully help me get to the bottom of these issues. It took a while for me to get the MRI because this Dr ,or his office, put in the referral incorrectly. Then I got a $536 bill for my 30 minute phone call with him because they didn't use the right code for insurance. Had to get this corrected. The lack of care, knowledge and compassion are outstanding.

Worse Dr. I have ever been to in 67 years
First thing he said to me was you are extremely overweight borderline obese. Like he had already determined that was my problem. He would not listen to me every thing I said he got wrong in his summary. At one point he interrupted me and said “I am very confused “ ordered me on the examination table and told me “you have IBS” (I have had IBS for nearly 50 years and have never had some of the symptoms I now do. I should have known better than agree to see him after 2021 when I originally had these symptoms and he did an endoscopy wrote me a note telling me that there was nothing wrong. He was so rude, condescending and cantankerous.

Awesome doctor
Dr. Dunzendorfer is an amazing doctor. He is extremely compassionate, intelligent, efficient and methodical in his practice. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy performed today and everything went smooth from start to finish. I would recommend him to anyone.

Gaslit!
I showed up for an upper endoscopy-prepped and ready and reviewed all medications with the procedure RN. Dr Duzendorfer was upset that I was mid treatment for H Pyloriat check in. I was not aware that I should have finished treatment first and then scheduled the endoscopy for 6-8 weeks after. He said the blood test for h pylori isn’t accurate and probably shouldn’t have started any treatment. He seemed like he wanted to cancel the procedure but then told me “this is why i make the big money, if I were you I’d have the procedure” except any biopsy results won’t show whether or not I still have h pylori. I was left with questions and not given time to make an Informed decision. His body language and tone was dismissive and even my friend waiting with me was appalled at how he spoke to me. I looked at my post procedure notes, it said “procedure risks including perforation were reviewed” except they were not. Yes I’ve had this procedure in the past but risk review is required every time!

I am a difficult pt. I am a former med surg nurse and inpatient psyche nurse RNC. Without being negative, I recommend Dr. Dunzendorfer without any hesitation. He’s smart, direct, takes charge and answers questions. I prefer his direct approach to attempts at being charming. Berkshire county is fortunate to have him.

Dr. Dunzendorfer listened to me, ran tests, re-ran tests, diagnosed me and started me on the road to healing. He previously diagnosed my celiac disease and changed my life for the better. I'd probably be dead by now or seriously ill without him. Highly recommend.

My husband and I have seen Dr. Dunzendorfer in two years. My husband had a lower GI bleed 1/5/15, he was hospitalized. Dr. D. ordered a colonoscopy, done after the colon prep. Colonoscopy revealed a bleeding diverticula. The care my husband received by Dr D was excellent,he took time to explain and show me what he found upon colonoscopy. Dr D. is not only knowledgeable and competent, he is compassionate. I received the same excellent tx 11/15 at the Eagle St.Endo Center by Dr Dunzendorfer.
