Dr Lawrence has been my doctor since 2007. She’s a wonderful. With that being said the office in the way that this practices run is so unbelievably unprofessional and crazy. The wait is 2 1/2 and four hours on a regular basis. . They never answer their phone and never call you back. They do not have a very well run office. Toward the end the way it was longer. And the visits were shorter. I felt as if I was rushed in and out before I could even explain what was happening. I was pushed into a drug trial that I did not want to do and when I refused, it took months and months to actually get the drug I needed prescribed. As of this point, I have gone to another doctor. I have tried to get my records for over a year and have not been able to. I have left a message after message as well as my new doctor requesting my records. I still cannot get that. I am currently in the process of filing a complaint, as I need my records to continue my to continue my treatment

In this day and age it is hard to find a caring staff from the time you enter till the time you leave. My doctor, Theresa A.B. Lawrence Ford, MD, FACP, FACR is the person who her staff follows by example. She is an exceptional, professional, caring physician. Your time shouldn’t be rushed by a physician. You may spend a little longer time during your office visit but each patient is given her full attention & care. I am thankful to know I am in excellent care.

Hard to get medication
I had a visit on Monday. I take Embrel and pain meds too. I am still waiting on my pain meds to be finalized by the Dr. I called on Tuesday to remind the staff to ask the Dr to do this and I called today Wednesday to remind them to ask the Dr to do this. The phone are off on Wednesday and Friday after lunch. I do g want to change my Dr. But I don’t know what to do.

I have been with Dr. Lawrence for 25 years. She is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and tenacious in her search for helpful treatments. Being able to have blood drawn and getting a Bone Density Scan done in the office is a big plus. As for the office practices, overbooking creates common wait times of 3-4+ hours; calls to the office aren't answered; phone messages aren't returned; test results aren't reliably entered into my electronic records. 5 stars for Dr. Lawrence, 1 star for the office management.

Experienced & good Dr but wait times are very long. On 3 different visits I had to wait for 3 hours each time. It seemed like they were over booked!!

I love Dr. Lawrence, but the office staff is either overwhelmed or does not care about the patients. If you call in, you must always leave a message and no one ever calls you back. I have waited over two hours to see the doctor. Early a.m. appointment are scheduled, but according to office staff, the doctor does not arrive until 10 a.m.

Dr Lawrence has been treating my RA for several years. I have been completely satisfied with the care I have received. That being said, I must say I have generally been less than impressed by her office staff. As noted by others, it is difficult to get a call returned from the office. I only wish I could give 2 separate ratings: a definite 5 star for Dr Lawrence, and a 2 star rating for her office staff.

Have been a patient of hers for over 25 years. Couldn’t ask for a more caring doctor. In the early years of this particular type of arthritis she was the only one available with knowledge and experience treating psoriatic arthritis. Going through three doctors she hit the diagnostic nail on the head. One of the first doctors to prescribe embrel it was a godsend at the time. She is a personable person and is there for me 24/7 when I was in need. Over time her practice has improved and improved.

I have had medications sent by companies lost by the office, given away to other patients and have had complaints from all three of my pharmacies concerning the amount of calls they make to the office with no return. I've run out of medications because they don't call them in and I'm currently waiting on a prescription to be called in from 3 months ago. I have other health conditions and my other doctors are not happy with the customer service they provide

I was hit hard by juvenile rheumatoid and, ankyloing spondylitis when I was a teen. I was terrified and clueless. I went from one idiot rheumatologist to another and no one helped me until Dr. Lawrence! She's my hero, and she will always be family to me. She's compassionate, commonsensical and wicked smart. I've been her patient for eleven years and can honestly say she's the best there is. Her patients come from far and wide (one even comes all the way from Illinois!), and for good reason.
