Excellent Practioner
I was seen in a timely manner. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Ted explained the problem completely and thoroughly. He also was specific about the treatment.

This guy was the WORST doctor I have ever been too. Pre-op they seemed alright but should have seen the red flag when we had paperwork issues from the start. Post -op, horrible .. to the point where I felt the treatment was borderline malpractice. You wait for sometime and when finally called you get to spend a total of 45 seconds with the doctor. Not understanding, not compassionate, horrible bedside manner. I was injured at work two and a half years ago, a workman's comp case. They DO NOT KNOW how to do paperwork correctly or just don't care. WILL NOT HELP YOU. At one point after a year and a half of pain and not getting better after his surgery and physical therapy, I went through the entire file with the workers comp doctor - after being told by Dr. Szarzanowicz it was the physical therapists fault that my paperwork was all messed up, he looked at me and told me it was Buffalo Ortho's office that was screwing everything up and that I needed to calmly ask Dr. Ted for help, which

Not sure we’re to start ! I am a director of transportation for a Chemical company and love the outdoors, working out and the thrill of competition and pushing my limits at the age of 58. I am a race coach at Holiday Valley Ski resort. I Have finished 2 IronMan competitions( looking to do more ) and I mountain bike, road bike , swim and train 4 to 5 times a week . I have had both my hips replaced and multiple shoulder injures. I saw Dr Ted 2 years ago looking for a Doctor Who understands and cares about my compassion and training and he understands my driver for sports and compassion for competition . He has replaced my Left shoulder in December. He has put me back into the game!! His compassionate care that he shows for me and all his staff towards my full Recovery has been world class. While Dr Ted has help me recover he has been a Realist and help me understand my limitations and guide me through training at the age of 58 . Thank you Dr Ted !!! You never to old to feel young

I have had two consultations with Dr. Ted in regard to a failed rotator cuff surgery. He gave me all the time I could want during my two appointments and had very professional, supportive responses to all my questions. He cares about what is best for the patient! He is an incredible person of the highest integrity!!!

Avoid. There are plenty other orthos who won't require you to surrender most of a day in the waiting room and whose PAs are professional and enthusiastic. Understand that your appointment 'time' with Dr. Szarzanowicz follows the cable-company scheduling model. That's: "We'll help you sometime between 1-4 p.m." (At least the cable company is up front about it.) Avoid Dr. Ted's PA, Brian (low on soft skills / people skills). It's harder to get in with Dr. Ted. But he's more personable.

I have had Dr Szarzanowicz replace both my knees , one in 2012 and the other in 2015 and he also has done rotator cuff surgery on my left shoulder in 2013. All my surgeries by him have been successful. Every time I see him I always thank him for giving me my life back. He is very personable and caring. His staff are top notch professionals.
