Dr. Tessey Jose, MD

Dr Tessey was very nice, asked many question's to determine my issue. The office seemed organized and they took me in right away.

Today, being my first appointment with Dr. Jose, after Dr. Mohan left CC, was a very fine one. Not only was the doctor interested in learning of my past and various issues I've faces, she didn't rush the appointment and made me feel as if she was there for me and to help in any way in dealing with my diabetic issues. She's prescribed an increase in one med I take which should help and again encouraged me to work more on exercise and taking care of myself. At my follow up appointment in 4 months I'll be able to give a better update of her as my doctor. Thus far I'm happy with the change which by the way also I've found to be delightful in that there was minimal waiting time between the appointment time, the assistant time meeting with me and the Dr. seeing me. Very, very efficiently done which is quite a welcomed relief for me.

This doctor is a danger to patients in her dismissal of symptoms and their questions. If you look at the reviews in any of her profiles outside of the cleveland clinic website you will see that my sister is not alone. My sister went to this clinic for PCOS treatment. If you are overweight in any way she will dismiss any other concerns you have. Even with ultrasound results of cysts, missing period for months on end and insulin resistance, this doctor continuously dismissed all of her concerns and questions. She spent the first half of the appointment arguing that my sister did not have PCOS and only acknowledged it after my sister implored her to look at the charts. She even said there was no way to treat PCOS which is objectively untrue. Every time my sister had any questions regarding her symptoms, this doctor would roll her eyes, sigh and seem incredibly frustrated. She also asked the same questions several times, clearly not listening to her patient. This "Dr" need to be retrained.

I am extremely happy with my initial visit with Dr Jose. She understands the seriousness of the patients needs and is extremely intelligent and articulated. I feel very confident under her care that I can put this dreaded disease behind me and move on. The staff are all smiles and caring. The Cleveland Clinic provides wonderful surroundings and I feel like they are at the top of modern medicine.

Dr Jose is thorough and professional, but if you really need a doctor that you can actually get an appointment with sometime in the next year, choose someone else. I've had one visit with this doctor April 2015. Had a follow up visit scheduled for 6 months after in Oct 2015 and it had to be rescheduled by the office...first available for the October 2015 appointment was August 2016, which again was canceled by the office due to scheduling and next available is December 2016. I'm done.
