Dr. Swetha Gadwala, MD

I was out of town and requested information about a relative who was in the hospital. Dr. Gadwala called me back and took the time to give me a very full medical report on my relative’s condition. I was very impressed with both the amount of time she took in the explanation as well as the completeness of it.

She really needs to focus on her oath to help patients and to learn how to speak to the family. If the family is asking questions she appears like we are taking too much time asking. She gets defensive like you are questioning her work when in reality the only thing we want are answers. She tends to talk over you like it is not important what you are saying or asking. When asked about stages of a disease she stated that it's either you have it or you don't in this case it is for cirrhosis of the liver in which apparently there are stages to it. She presents herself as if she knows what is going on but is not able to answer questions such as what are normal ammonia levels in ones body and her answer is I don't know?? Not the best way to present herself as a Dr. She really needs to work on her responses to the family of patients and needs to refresh herself on customer service skills to be a little more empathetic to the patient and the family.

She does not show any caring or concern for the patients family. Send patient home without finding the cause of the medical problem.
