Dr. Suzan Abdo, MD

I've been a patient of Dr. Abdo for 18 months and am very pleased with her practice. She gets to know you, greets you herself, asks about your family and how you are. Her office is not new and shiney, but clean and homey. IMO, her job as my PCP is to ascertain my overall health, provide treatment as needed, and make recommendations if I need to see a specialist. She does that superbly. Unike managed care doctors who give you 20 minutes and push you out the door, she spends as much time with you as needed. The critical reviews I read here are surprising because that has not been my experience.

Dr. Abdo has been our family physician for many years. We are endlessly grateful for her superb care!

The first time I saw this Doctor she actually told me that I have a 'fat neck' and that I needed to get my thyroid checked - turned out to be completely fine. Yet, that did not stop her from attempting to issue the exact same diagnosis and order for an ultrasound again one year later. The office is empty, old, outdated, and not what you would expect in the area. When I have seen this doctor, she explicitly instructed me not to tell her about any ailments I was experiencing, otherwise she would charge me. She ordered blood work before my annual physical and then proceeded to bill my insurance for reading the results aloud. The receptionist Tammy never answers the phone and when I did speak with her she was incredibly rude, told me she would bill me to speak on the phone with my doctor, then told me I was very dramatic when I got upset at this. Will NEVER return to this practice and will advise all others not to as well.

Dr. Abdo and I first started meeting in February 2023 for tendinitis. She was so attentive to my needs and patient with all of my questions. Through our appointments she noticed I had an enlarged throat which helped start the process of discovering I had thyroid cancer. Dr. Abdo quite literally saved my life. If you are looking for an amazing doctor with a knowledgeable and kind team -- look no further.

Dr. Abdo is intelligent, knowledgeable, personable, a great listener and empathetic. I am always able to get an appointment in a day or two, or if urgent the same day. The office is clean, relaxing with an office manager who is absolutely magnificent. Coming to Dr. Abdo is like working with a trusted family member. I highly recommend her as a family physician.

Dr Abdo is an angle she saved my husband’s life , when doctors dismissed the microscopic blood in the urine as incidental she ordered CT scan that revealed a 3 inch tumor in his left kidney which required immediate attention . Thank you Dr. Abdo for the lengthy time you dedicate for us in your office I will forever be in debt to you .

Dr. Abdo is an excellent physician. There are never any long waits and she really takes time to review history and care for her patients. It’s a small practice and everyone is friendly and professional.

AR ABDO HAS LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE FIVE TIMES NOW, THE LAST TIME WAS JAN OF 2019 I HAD A FIB AND MY FANCY EXPENSIVE CARDIOLOGIST IGNORED MY COMPLAINTS AND IT WAS ONLY WHEN I FELT NEAR DEATH AND DRUG MYSELF TO DR ABDO THAT SHE HAD ME ADMITTED TO HOWARD COUNTY HOSPITAL IMMEDIATELY AND A CARDIAC CONVERSION WAS DONE. HAD I WAITED ANOTHER 4-5 HOURS I WOULD NOT BE HERE. SHE SEES MY ENTIRE FAMILY AND WE ARE ALL DEVOTED TO HER SHE IS A GOD SEND.

I've been seeing Dr. Abdo for about 12 years. She's been wonderful at dealing with the full range of small things to more complex issues. She's thorough, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and when necessary, promptly refers me to specialist. I've had no issues with her care and would readily recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Abdo is amazing doctor and she cares about her patients and will go the extra mile to make sure you have the best care. She has refereed me to some top notch specialist. I highly recommend her because it is very hard to find a doctor that is all about the care of their patients.

Great doctor, great listener, completely accurate diagnosis and treatment. Wait times vary, but the pay off is the time and attention she gives her patients I am pleased that she gives the time needed for me to express my problem, then she makes her diagnosis and offers proper treatment . Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Dr. Abdo is the best! Truly cares about her patients and their well being and goes above and beyond! Wait time is a little long but it's because she takes her time to listen to you and answer all your questions. You won't feel rushed or like you're "just a patient." She has literally saved the life of more than one of my family members when other doctors had over looked things.

Knowledgeable doctor who cares about her patients. Spends adequate time explaining details of my condition. Never felt rushed in the room with her.
