Long wait to make appointments, long time to wait for appointments. Literally started seeing her to continue my injection treatment, she did one and they call me 6 weeks later to tell me they aren't doing them anymore and won't be doing the one I need in 6 weeks. Please tell me where I'm getting an neurologist appointment within the next 6 weeks and getting the approval for my treatment and getting it set up? Waste of my time seeing this doctor.

Horrible
I have never had a worse experience with a Dr. I was having a test to see if I would produce seizures yet she was telling me I could take an ANTI-SEIZURE medication right before taking the test. Being confused I asked her about it. All she could say was that it doesn’t matter so when I pressed for an actual answer she became irate & then verbally abused me by asking me if there was something wrong with my brain!! Seems as if something is actually wrong with hers with that type of behavior and since she calls herself a neurologist she should fix it. So either she had no patience to explain something that should have been simple or did not have the knowledge to answer it & then had me taking the wrong medicine before the test. Either way you would not want to go to her. I left the office in tears & never returned.

Dr. Suying L. Song, MD is a Doctor that is genuine and result driven. I summarize my experience as follows: 1. Knowledgeable (absolutely skillful in her field) 2. Determine to find the Root cause (Eliminate what if's and locate what is) 3. Action Plan (Partners with you on the way forward) Here's my story... went for neuropathy and she noticed I was hunched over and shuffled in my walk. She called me into her office and we spent, what I believe, was over 50 minutes answering numerous questions, capturing every response. She said "I want copies of all your doctors reports and tests''. On my 2nd visit I was given a nerve test (not sure of the medical term) and when all was done my issue, as explained, was my back L5 & S1. I asked what the next steps were, she responded... MRI first and afterwards, we will, together, devise an action plan. I must add, and truly they are marvelous, is the administration staff, Lisa, Anna and Annmarie. Don't deny yourself good care; call...

Her behavior was disgraceful. She diagnosed me as having seizures. She plied me with high dosages of controlled substances. Is she cracked? I never had seizures in my life. If I had seizures don't you think I would know it?? "common sense". Then, she said I have hallucinations? Is she for real??? I sure wish I could sue-statute of limitations. In any case, she transfers this "slop" to any doctor I see. Stop transferring this "slop" out. Keep it to yourself. If I had halucinations I would know it Where did she get a license to practice???

As a doctor I was very satisfied with her treatment. She was patient and kind when asked questions. She always made me feel comfortable. Her staff, however, is awful. They are rude. The wait at the office was always horrible. I had to constantly call to make sure FMLA papers were done in a timely manner. They weren't which was unacceptable to me. The office staff takes their sweet time doing anything for the patient. Dr. Song was the opposite of the staff.

In 2011 I was told by Dr. Song that I have Temporal Lobe Epilepsy after a EEG in her office and Brain MRI. I had a horrible tickle in my arm and legs. In 2014 after a second opinion at NYU Hospital - Epilepsy Unit after a 4 day video EEG, I was told by my new Neurologist that its Panic Disorder, and that he knows Dr. Song and that she tells everyone that they have Epilepsy. I had Panic Disorder since a teenager.

She's extraordinarily smart and very helpful when she's got your attention. When she has your attention is the operative word. Her office is constantly overbooked and she doesn't have the staff to handle her practice's overbooking.

Frustrated with the waiting. in Staten Island – May 06, 2016
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Song?
Dr. Song was curt and unaffected when discussing patient and condition. I don't think she understands the responsibilities of neurology and dealing with patients with brain and personality disorders. She medicates without ANY interest in understanding her patient's response or side effects. This is dangerous for neurological drugs. She just increases medication without asking her patients how they are dealing. This is a SERIOUS LIABILITY!
