Dr. Susan Krolewski, MD

Dr. Krolewski failed to give any help for my back problems, refused to give referrals, and could never remember why I was there, always saying it was “just for a physical”. Always made me feel like I was wasting her time and rushed me. I’d be there for a physical, be out in 15 minutes not even having a full physical exam. She even asked me one time if I was being exaggerative with my reflexes when she used the reflex hammer to engage them. Honestly wish I went to any other doctor and I’m glad I am now.

Doctor Krolewski is by the far the worst doctor I have ever seen. Does not listen to the information given by the patient, mixes up what needs to be done during appointment, whether it’s blood work, refuses to give or sing any referrals for physical therapy, which I ended up going to ANOTHER doctor who gave it to me. Dr. Krolewski would give Avery general reason for any pain or issue or relate it to weight. Every office visits felt quick and rushed as if I’m bothering the doctor I PAY to help me get back on my feet. I will never go back to Krolewski office.

Multiple visits left me feeling uncared for, unheard and frankly like she was completely disinterested in helping me heal. After referring a nutritionist to help me with post menopausal weight, she later insulted the entire career of nutritionist accusing them for not being medical doctors and ordering unnecessary and expensive tests. My nutritionist has helped me 100% more than this dr. My first appointment, without even asking what I was in to see her about, she starts off telling me we won't get through everything I want to talk about. Another appointment she commented that there are so many silly notes in my file, so that was a dig to her own employees. The whole office lacks empathy, any sense of communication skills and are more concerned with being 'right' than helping.

Our family has gone to Dr. Krolewski for years. It has always been easy to schedule well visits, sick appointments, and getting documents for schools has been seamless. Dr. Krolewski takes the time to really talk with each family member and get to know them, I would call her a classic GP who cares. She was especially helpful when my teenager wanted birth control and needed anti-depressants, she handled both situations openly, clearly, with kindness and no shame.

I left the practice after many years due to the front office staff. I found them to be the epitome of unprofessional in a medical setting and discontinued my care with Dr. K. Jessie and Leigh were rude, would not call in my 1 RX in an appropriate amount of time-then blaming it on the Dr. Finally-calling for "follow up" appts when they weren't necessary. Dr K - take note.

My husband and I have been going to Dr Krowewski for over 15 years here in Portsmouth. Very professional and highly recommended.

I am writing this review on Dr. Krolewski a couple years post visit because it still leaves a horrible taste in my mouth. While I was greeted by a friendly and attentive front desk employee, my visit with Dr. Krowlewski was unnerving. Rather than inquiring about the medical symptoms I was experiencing she felt comfortable asking specific personal questions regarding my dating life; what my partner did as a profession, and how he must "make a lot of money". As a woman, I felt judged and ostracized. I would not recommend to my friends and family.

I saw Dr Krolewski for a few years and never had a positive experience with her. She was generally rude to me and made rude and unprofessional comments about my body, my health, and other aspects of my life. I went to see her a couple of years ago to get permission to return to sports after a concussion, and she refused to read or fill out the paperwork required by my school, and told me she’d sign it and I could fill it out myself, without even having a conversation about any symptoms I was having. She was dismissive of other symptoms I had as well, and once prescribed me antibiotics but did not tell me why, even when I asked. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I had her for a few visits over a couple years and she didn’t seem like she cared very much. She doesn’t have any regard for mental health issues and made rude and unprofessional remarks about my body. She also forgot to send in my prescription.

I saw Krolewski for many years. Appointments were fast and easy to get, per my schedule. in the last couple years she ignored my symptoms and did not follow up with any tests. I got cancer and now have found out that my cholesterol and thyroid are out of control... which she had previously tested for. I should have been more closely monitored ( per Many other providers I have spoken too). I had to get another Doctor.

Worst doctor experience. I recently moved to the area and Krowleski was the closest female doc that took my insurance, and I went to see her about some concerning symptoms I was having. Instead of talking about the reason I was there, she asked why I was on certain mental health medications, which seemed normal until she started dismissing my diagnosis. I had just met her for the first time and in less than 10 minutes of talking she told me that I didn’t “seem” to be bipolar. She also said that people who have BPD are “narcissistic and manipulative”. This is a common and frankly disgusting stigma for people with BPD and I am appalled that a health professional would say such things. When we did briefly talk about why I was there, I got some tests done which came back normal. Even though my concerning symptoms persist, that was it, no follow up appointment or alternative routes. Just your tests are normal, bye. I will not be returning and highly recommend to STAY AWAY.

I absolutely would not recommend her. While her staff are very warm and friendly, Dr. Krolewski is rude and arrogant and does not listen to her patients. After over a year of dealing with chronic hives, to which she put next to no effort into finding the cause of aside from referring me to an allergist who also came up with nothing, I approached her asking about the possibility of it being an issue with my thyroid after doing some research (through actual scientific publications, not random blogs) she rudely dismissed the idea and insisted that in her 20 years of practicing medicine she had never heard of such a thing. Lucky for me, I was persistent and demanded she refer me to a dermatologist and order a thyroid blood test. The dermatologist informed me that nearly a third of people with chronic hives have an underlying autoimmune disorder...that's a pretty big number for my doctor to not have thought of it. Have been a patient for 5+ years, excellent care and excellent office staff.

Upon my first visit with Dr. Krolewski she seems personable enough and has a kind waiting room staff. However when I went to see her due to severe head and neck pain and fever I had a very unpleasant experience. When I informed her of my on and off fever she asked me how I knew I had a fever to which I told her...I own a thermometer. She then took my temperature and told me condescendingly that I did not have a fever. She then inquired if I maybe just came in because I needed an STD screening. I am a mid twenties female and found this extremely offensive. She finally had me go for a blood test for which I had to call multiple times to finally hear the results after not hearing back from her office for several days. I would go in to the details of her nonchalantly referring me to an oncologist based on my blood test with no explanation of the results but I think think I have written enough to get the point across.

I had a great experience. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. And Dr. Krolewski was attentive and very helpful during the appointment.

Was able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment which I was so thankful for. Answered all my questions and had a prescription for me ready in no time. Thankful for practices like this!

Was not rushed, but certainly body-shamed despite her not knowing much about my eating and exercise habits, not to mention the dubiousness of determining BMI by only comparing height and weight. Also, I am on meds that cause weight gain and am of a certain age to be beset by hormonal flux.

Here to confirm what others have mentioned about her rude and condescending attitude. She has seen me at least 5 times in the past year, and called me a different name when she came out to get me in the waiting room. Later in that appointment, I told her how I walked 11 miles in one day, and a minute later she said, "Well, you just walked 9 miles yesterday..." So that leads me to believe she is not "all there." She has also given me incorrect info about medications. Go elsewhere; her mind is...

I have been a patient with Dr. Krolewski for over 5 years, and the entire time she and her entire staff have been nothing short of outstanding. It's easy and quick to get an appointment, I'm always greeted and treated with a smile, and I have received top-notch, professional attention with every visit. I would recommend Dr. Krolewski's office to anyone seeking a caring and competent PCP.
