Good doctor, terrible office experience
Dr. Barton is professional and I appreciate that she explores other solutions before immediately jumping to expensive/invasive tests. However, the reason I am giving 2 stars is the level of unprofessionalism and difficulty I experience with her office staff. If it was just one bad experience I would let it slide, but every time I have to make an appointment, request a prescription, or request my own medical records or test results, it's like pulling teeth. The office staff constantly make mistakes and yet try to argue that it is my fault that they never sent a prescription to the pharmacy or that I never got my test results. They have even rescheduled or cancelled appointments without notifying me in advance, leaving me waiting for an appointment that doesn't happen and telling me it's because they didn't have my medical history - How would I give medical history if my appointment is cancelled? I have tried to raise this to Dr Barton but she wasn't receptive to my feedback.

Caring and informative
My first visit with Dr Barton was a Telemed consultation. She was very prompt and informative about the procedure. Her office was very efficient in scheduling and made sure I understood the preparation. Dr Barton was very caring and informative when I saw her before the procedure and after she made me feel very informed. I would recommend her to anyone needing her services

Dr. Barton was recommended to me by an ER doctor. I had a great experience when I met her and explained the issues I was having. She recommended an endoscopy. After the procedure, she barely walked by the recovery room. I barely got two words. I had a biopsy done as part of the procedure. When I say to you she NEVER reached out with the results or a follow-up phone call, I'm not exaggerating. I have called her office 7-9 times, plus left 2 very polite messages on her portal, and not one response. I have no idea what medication she recommends for my symptoms or anything. The staff felt so badly for me, they finally told me the biopsy was thankfully benign. Have I heard from her in the 2 months since the procedure? A resounding NO. Part of being an excellent doctor is having compassion and being responsive. I hope your experience is different. I'll have to find another doctor now. So disappointed and it feels terrible to be ignored by your doctor.

Dr. Barton was clear and caring in her communications with me, both during a telemedicine appointment, as well as following my recent colonoscopy. I did not feel rushed and was very comfortable with her expertise and care. Her sense of humor was appreciated too.

Dr. Barton showed extreme compassion for my elderly, disabled mother when she needed her feeding tube replaced. She reached out to us to alert us to what could have been a serious issue for her. I found her bedside manner to be exceptional too. She was great with my mom (who passed May). I highly recommend her.

Came in for severe abdominal pain, met via telemedicine with Dr Barton as a follow up to my ER visit. She sent me to get a stool sample done, then I never heard from her again. I've sent 4 messages to her via the patient portal with no response, and the only way I found my stool sample results was directly through Lap Corp's website. She doesn't have availability for a follow up appointment for weeks out, so I'm left to be in pain for another few weeks or find another doctor.

She does not do a good job of staying and answering questions as she always gives the impression of needing to be somewhere else so she is pretty abrupt with her answers. Also, her office sends work to out of provider places without even mentioning it to you so you get stuck with huge bills which was absolutely terrible.
