Does Not Listen - Very rude and cold.
We scheduled an appointment for my neurodivergent 6-year old to get Dr Rummani-Askar to sign off on a Speech Therapy script. Her school AND her behavioral health providers suggested we do this to further aid my daughter in her emotional-regulation. We went in and explained what is happening in full detail and she just kept asking, 'Well WHY does she need speech therapy?' After we'd literally spent a good 5 minutes explaining exactly why. And what other professionals have said. Still just, 'Okay but WHY does she need speech therapy?' She was very cold and unprofessional and rude and she made us feel like we didn't know what we were talking about. After talking in circles, she leaves the room and then has the nurse bring us the discharge papers for the appointment with no mention of the script for speech. We had to approach the nurse and ask. She gave us the signed paper. Not going back.

I would not recommend this doctor. Very unprofessional, long wait, no entertainment for the kids, arrogant and ignorant. Doctors need to be well mannered otherwise they will keep losing their patients.

Love this doctor! She was able to help my kids when other doctors didn't know what was going on. So easy to talk to and listens. My kids love her!!!

Dr. Rumani-Askar sadly is not a good dr. We had a few missed diagnosis and I changed for obvious reasons.

Right now as I type this I am sitting in Children's Hospital of Michigan with my (as of today) 1 month old baby girl. Why?? Because "Dr Rummani" failed to diagnose my son a month ago with RSV then again failed to diagnose my daughter 3 days ago with this horrible virus RSV. A simple nose swab is all she had to do! You no what she said after my daughter almost died from this?? "Oh its not my fault. I can't swab every baby for RSV." ya she actually said that! So PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO HER

First & only visit.Just moved from NC waited 1.5hrs before dr came in she barely introduced herself, no apology for the long wait. My son has a diagnosis and taking a certain medication that has been working for 8 years. This dr didn't pay any attention to what I was telling her and told me that I would have to get him retested before she would prescribe him his meds...it would have been understandable if she wanted to wait until she saw his old charts instead of discounting us completely.
