She saved my son
We took our 1 year old in today because he had a rash. She noticed he was not breathing properly, gave him a breathing treatment which didn’t seem to work and told us to go directly to the ER. He has to have surgery for a diaphragmatic hernia today. Things could have gotten so much worse if she did not catch this in time. I love this doctor!

They were able to get us in the same day, even as new patients. Dr Mara was super patient with my painfully shy almost 8 year old. We never felt rushed, she was gentle, informative and kind. Sue at the front desk was as sweet as can be. The waiting area has a beautiful salt water fish tank, a sick kids section, healthy kids section and a entirely separate newborn room. I really appreciated that; Who wants to sit next to someone with a contagious illness if you’re there with your healthy kids for a check up or shots? They also don’t put healthy kids into exam rooms that a sick child was just in. This seems like common sense, but it is most definitely not standard at any of the pediatric offices I’ve been to over the last 8 years, so I was pretty excited about Serenity Peds doing it. Everything was clean and modern.
