Brilliant but lacking beside manner
Dr. Vernino is a brilliant academic and researcher. He struggles with bedside manner, listening to patients, and validating their feelings and symptoms. Dr. Vernino is brilliant, but he does not listen to his patients well. He also does not conduct POTS orthostats correctly. I’ve had POTS for 11 years. The nurse conducting orthostats at my last visit only did orthostats for three minutes, when the required time for a POTS diagnosis is ten minutes. Based on that reading, my POTS magically improved (raising 20bpm instead of the normal 30-40bpm). Vernino told me that clearly I was improving. Had his nurse conducted full orthostats, my bpm would’ve raised to at least 135-155bpm, and he would’ve seen my POTS had not improved. He also believes IV fluids are a placebo effect, despite how the lack of IV fluids leaves me bed bound.

Dedicated to helping patients
It's hard for the general public to appreciate just how much time this man has dedicated to helping patients. There is only one of him, so it might take you a very long time to get in. But once he takes your case, he will do his best to get you feeling better. He truly cares about the unique needs of his patient population and he has a very kind heart. I am so glad he is my doctor. Even if he can't fix everything that's wrong, I am definitely better off with his help. He is very thorough.

Dr. Vernino’s Review From A Very Satisfied Patient – Nov 17, 2022
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Vernino?
I have been extremely sick for over 7 months from the vaccine shot completely messing up my nervous system. I have had 3 referrals to him from doctors who actually care. I have a 24/7 panic attack, mass digestive issues, lost 70 pounds because I can't eat, my skin tingles until I pass out, I end up laying on the floor because I cannot move. That is just the start of my symptoms. His customer service sucks. From the point of my first referral to him it took months of me calling to even get an answer. His assistants at the office were great and tried to help, but he doesn't care at all about people. If you value your life do not ever go him. I have never been so disgusted by a doctor and his lack of morals in my life. Stay away. Do not go to this man ever!!!
