Review of Podiatrist Doctor Lako
I liked the friendliness of Dr. Lako and his staff. I like to walk at least three miles a day, but I developed a painful hammer toe. Dr. Lako saw some other minor problems with my toes and took care of them and then he scheduled surgery for not too far off. On the day of the surgery, he was quick, efficient, and solved my problem. On my follow-up visits my stiches were removed and he also removed a corn on that hammer toe. He really is a caring and diligent doctor.

I came here based on the google reviews expecting a pleasant visit, but my experience was the complete opposite. I had a 9 am appointment, and it was rushed. While speaking with him about the history of my feet issues, his responses were dismissive. Dr. Lako then directed me to get an X-ray, and after that, the nurse who took my Xrays told me to head to check out. Not once did he look over the result of the X-ray to discuss them with me; instead, I had to ask the lady at the front counter. So, once I asked the lady at the front desk, for the results, she looked confused (as I was) and had another nurse show me the images, the nurse informed me that I had a bone spur. Sadly, when I went to pick up the medicine, he prescribed it was different from what he said to me during my visit. I was disappointed with my overall experience, and I won’t be returning.

Dr. Lako is very professional and knowledgeable. He takes time to know his patients. He listens to what you have to say. His policy is to go beyond to make the patient feel special. His assistants will take off your shoes and socks as well as put them on your feet also. I have never had that to happen and it made me feel “SPECIAL.” If you are looking for a foot doctor to make you and your feet feel and look “SPECIAL” then Dr. Lako is the one.

I visited this doctors office yesterday in Macon, the staff was rude and the doctor stayed in the office for all of 5 minutes. He didn’t cut my toe nails and tried to talk me out of buying custom orthotics. I have callouses on both feet, which address , which he ignored. I was very disappointed with this office. Needless to say I won’t go back.

Dr. Lako and his staff are the best. They are polite and listen to your requests. Even though I was uptight about some very sensitive toes, they were extra careful to make sure I was comfortable. Although you meet some doctors and nurses that are pretty dour, these guy are friendly and get you to relax. A+

I've been seeing Dr. Lako for 12+ years. He's great. I usually see him in his Warner Robins office. This is the first time I've seen him in the Macon office. The reseptionist in the Macon office is HORRIBLE! She's rude. She should be fired!

Dr. Lako removed bunions from both my feet. I am so pleased with the results. In a matter of 7 months (total time with each foot done 4 mos apart) I finally feel relief. His staff are very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend him for any foot/ankle needs.

I had bunion surgery on my right foot about 3 years ago. Dr Lako’s technique and skill lead to a great outcome for my surgery. Yes, I would recommend him to accomplish surgery for any family member or freind. My recovery time was less than 3 months and the pain was lower than I expected. Bottom line I would have Dr Lako do my next foot surgery if I ever need one.

I have been going to Dr Lako ever since I got diabetes and had to have toenails removed. I have always been treated with the utmost concern and respect. He has a great personality and it is always a pleasure to make my visit. I would highly recommend Dr Lake for all foot and ankle care.

After a bad diabetic toenail trim experience with his partner Dr. Ye, I saw Dr.Lako. He was unable to diagnose a common case of gout. My Primary Care Physician did the diagnosis. Strike 3 came when my nails were beginning to lift from the skin behind them. I told him what I was using and it was working. He trimmed one nail that was very bad and told me to not use the med. I stopped and it instantly got worse. I went back to it and it cured the problem. I would not recommend either doctor.

My experience with Dr Lako is I never met him. My brother had out patient surgery in Macon on his left foot. He had a tumor. My brother said it would take 30-45 minutes to remove the tumor. It did take around 45 minutes but when he was in recovery we were told that the dr never comes out and tells his patients how the surgery went , he just immediately goes to the next patient. The nurse said the he would give you a call this afternoon. It's almost 9:00 pm and no call. Don't understand this
