Refused to perform a scheduled service
My 92 year old mother was scheduled for a toenail trim with Dr. Banks. She is wheelchair bound and it is very difficult to get her to the doctor. When we arrived we were told that he did not do that service on that day at that location. I stated that when the appointment was scheduled, I was clear that it was for a toenail trim. I was told that the scheduler made a mistake. I asked for her to be seen by someone else to perform that service. No one else was doing toenails on that day. I said that he has time scheduled to see her and I will ask him to perform that service at her scheduled time. The receptionist said that she would speak to him and ask if he could make an exception. He refused. He had a scheduled appointment with her and refused. The recptionist did get us into another office to be seen but I think that this act speaks to the level of patient care that this doctor is willing to provide. I was so disappointed.

Dr. Banks is a wonderful doctor. He really cares about his patients. After a two year journey with other providers we found Dr. Banks after coming across an article he had written regarding custom braces vs surgery. Dr. Banks treated my husband over the next three months and then ordered a custom brace for him. Today he is walking and his pain level has gone from a 10 to a 3. My husband has regained so many daily activities. Dr. Banks is the epitome of what we all want from a doctor. He tells you what he sees, he tells you what you need to do to help yourself and he guides you thru every stage of the process. Dr. Banks did more for my husband in three months then the other providers in two years. We highly recommend Dr. Banks and we are very blessed to have found him.

I drive 2 hours from Alabama to see Dr. Banks. He did some corrective surgery on my foot in January 2019. He is thorough, extremely knowledgable, and a perfectionist so I knew I was in good hands. He is also very personable which is a plus and so is his nurse! I HIGHLY recommend him!

After several visits opted for cortisone shot in heel for plantar fasciitis ongoing for 6 weeks. Tried ice, compression sock, ibuprofen cream with no relief. Had psyched myself up for the pain of the shots but Dr. Banks was so great with the Novocain shot and the cortisone shot. Hardly any pain. Still suffering almost a week after but praying the shot takes control.

I don't believe I will ever have a medical experience that will equate to Dr. Bank's performance. I say that because I have dealt with many doctors in the past who has made me feel as if I was a patient for the moment. I wish he was a general practitioner. He would be my doctor.

Dr. Banks was very gentle and assuring. Office staff all quite congenial and efficient. The complete automation via computer of all records and registration is most time saving and a little intimidating to one of my generation, but a good learning experience for those in the learning curve!
