Superb care, my highest recommendation!
I’m a 70-year-old retired military guy. My original injury was in 1997. Since then, I have had dozens of ESIs for left leg sciatica. I took a friends’ recommendation and tried Dr. Gershon, that was years ago. I’m still his patient and I’m happy for it. I also see PA Gerarge for pain management; and she always answers my questions in depth and clearly. I have some restrictions on the pain medication I can take, but she prescribed an effective med that provides relief and is approved by my other doctors. I am currently in the process of having MLS laser therapy for a torn hamstring tendon; Tech Lisa is working on it. We’re still mid way in the treatment process. All in all, I’m VERY happy with the professionalism of the medical staff and the results achieved. And the admin staff are quite welcoming and easy to work with.

Excellent Care
I’ve been fortunate to receive pain free procedures performed by Dr. Gershon. Nerve studies were absolutely pain free. Injections to bring a result of reduction of pain in hip area have also been pain free and the resulting improvements in pain level most welcomed. Dr. Gershon is highly skilled and able to provide a level of treatment one may not find elsewhere.

I have had 4 upper nerve study tests and today with Dr. Gershon has made my second lower nerve test. My former neurologist, who conducted the majority of my test recently retired. I had an extreme amount of anxiety going into today's test. Dr. Greshon's staff front to back is hands down EVERYTHING that a new patient, not customer could need. The actual testing: OMG! Sending both the oscillating and acupuncture pulse signals through the nerve trunks has NEVER gone so smoothly and PAINLESS! I love that Dr. Gershon explained what was going to happen before he did anything. We practiced movements before each tested section. He gave me clear and easy instructions and was patient and extremely thorough. There were no tears at the start, middle or end of today's testing! I experienced more discomfort changing clothes and positions then during testing. Your feet and legs are the more sensitive areas for an EMG test and I fully ENDORSE and RECOMMEND Dr. Steven Gershon for your EMG testing!

EMG/Nerve Conduction Survey
I had an EMG test with Dr. Gershon yesterday. I'd had the same test a couple of years ago with another neurologist. The difference between the past test and the one Dr. Gershon performed was night and day. Virtually painless. He communicated to me exactly what I would feel every step of the way. There was a 2nd year EVMS resident present during my test and I was also impressed with how Dr. Gershon used my test to educate the resident. He made sure the resident also knew exactly what he was doing every step of the way, and he asked pertinent questions to keep the resident engaged and thinking during the process. It was a really cool experience to see Dr. Gershon passing on his knowledge to a new generation of health providers.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience with this office. I had set up my appointment that had been confirmed several times by text. When I arrived for my first appointment, I was asked if I had completed the packet off information. I explained I hadn't received the information, and I was notified I would have to be rescheduled. I spoke with office manager that stated this was office protocol, that was never communicated to me. I had significantly rearranged my own schedule, and was looking forward to a process for healing. I was offered another appointment on another day. I left the office tearful I was so disappointed. I won't return.

Not good. My wife was scheduled for a procedure at 3:20 PM. We confirmed the appointment by email and phone. We arrived on time and checked in. We sat and sat in the lobby with no explanation why we were not seen right away as in the past. We were told that there was a back up. Then we were told that my wife was in the procedure room and yet she was sitting in the waiting room. Then we were told it may take 45 more minutes of waiting for her procedure. Finally, just before 5 pm (they close at 5) she was rushed into the procedure room. There was a lot of rushing around in the room and this caused my wife to become very anxious and afraid. This on top of having to wait over an hour for a scheduled procedure that would only take about 10 minute was too much for my wife to bear. And so she decided not to have the procedure. There was never any explanation of why she was not treated at the time of her appointment.

All the staff is professional and pleasant. Customer service is outstanding. My treatment thus far has been thorough and I was impressed with the positive attitude of everyone. Dr. Gershon spends enough time with me to satisify my concerns. I don't expect him to dwell on my case more than is necessary. "Charlie" is a "keeper"; and a pro. Engaging and covered my concerns well. MTF....

I shadowed Dr. Gershon for an entire day. Whenever possible, he took time to teach me about his methods and procedures. He truly cares about his patients and ensures that they receive the best possible care. I am baffled by some of these reviews. In my time with Dr. Gershon, he barely sat down. He was constantly running around from patient to patient, consulting with other doctors and doing everything in his power to alleviate his patients' pain. Dr. Gershon is compassionate and competent!

He allows his physician assistant to do everything. He doesn’t even talk to you. You see him one time barely and you see his P.A the rest of the time. His PA Mary Jo is thoughtless and insensitive. Don’t be fooled. He believes everything she says. If the sky was green, he would believe her. She isn’t a Doctor for a reason. They are heartless and only care about money. The Original Smile is Fake!

No wonder his guys practice is still open. I went there for hip pain and he immediately came to the conclusive diagnosis of a bulged disc. He put me through the ringer with MRIs and a back brace. He charged my insurance $1250 for it which left me responsible for $750. The brace retails for $250 at most. I found out he only pays $92 per back brace. After countless dollars and time wasted they decided to say it’s not a spine problem. This guy is a phony and doesn’t prescribe any pain meds either.

First off make sure your insurance accepts Alere Toxicology cause that's where they send your labs. My insurance didn't and my drug test cost me $1034.57. It usually doesn't cost me anything cause there are a lot of labs that accepts Optima. Needless to say I regret going here. The staff seems to take delight in being difficult. He was also described to me by a paralegal as an "egomaniac" and the lawyer was "familiar with his reputation".

I've been treated by Dr. Gershon for over 20 years for foot, shoulder, hand, back and neck issues. He's incredibly thorough, compassionate and knowledgeable. His staff is awesome too. The food allergy testing he did for me changed my life. He also tested an Olympic athlete and she said it changed her life as well. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

I have been a pain management patient with Dr. Gershon’s office since 2012. I have been to many Doctors for an auto accident happened in 2010 that left me with internal injuries, wife time pain issues, along with 16 major surgeries in the last six years and by far Dr. Gershon‘s office treats not just for medication but the entire pain and periphreal issues. They have always been caring and gone the extra mile for me when I have needed it.

The front staff is very offputting. I was scheduled as a new patient and filled out new patient paperwork/paid my copay on their portal. The day of I was running late b/c of accident traffic (a car flipped off the road). I called to let them know and was told I'd be seen if I was in within 15 minutes of the appointment time. I arrived within the time, they would not see me and were rude about it.. Complete waste of time both that morning and filling out that detailed paperwork ahead of time.

I have had 4 or 5 appointments with this facility. I have spent anywhere from 40 to 45 minutes past my appointment time sitting in the waiting room on each occassion. When I have been called back to the examining room, I have spent from 45 minutes to an hour waiting for "Mike" to get to me. His staff is well versed in coming by to tell you he is "running a bit behind." I have seen Dr. Gershon no more that 15 minutes total in all my visits. Not worth the hassel.

They listen, I mean they really really listen. Most doctors you go to just want to pile on the medication and get you in and out as quickly as possible. Dr. Gershon and his staff take the time to ask questions, listen to the answers, then come up with a treatment plan to heal the injury and alleviate the pain. I see Cheryl Jeter once a week for trigger point injections and can't say enough amazing things about her. I will never go anywhere else and recommend this clinic to everyone!!!!

I love this practice! These clinicians are solution-based. They did not just throw meds at me and give up on my recovering from my pain issues. I feel so hopeful now. They strive to find the most reasonable treatment plan, and are very concerned about my quality of life. I would happily recommend these folks to anyone in need of not just pain relief but a future that does not require pain treatment.
