Dr. Steven Beim, MD

Poor. Poor. Starting seeing this doctor 5 weeks ago for a pterygium diagnosis. Began treatment till his office could get a scheduled surgery date (7 weeks later). Beim’s office scheduled me to come in on a Wednesday and again for a pre op scan on the following Thursday. When I questioned the two dates, I was told by two staff and the doctor that I had two diagnoses. When I asked what the other diagnoses was, I was told cataracts. Doctor then became upset upon realizing I wasn’t being treated for cataracts. I asked him why he and two other staff members believed I was being treated for cataracts. He told me that If I was not happy with their service, then I could go somewhere else. What? Beim had me scheduled for surgery for a diagnosis that did not exist and I’m not supposed to be concerned. This eye doctor practice works off the numbers game and is to rushed to provide personal care. Your a number not a patient. Not with my eyes. Deplorable

This practice is a diamond in the rough, located in the heart of Brenham, Texas. I was referred by a friend who actually received a lens replacement surgery from Dr. Beim, and raved about his results. I see Dr. Beim and his staff for much simpler services like eye exams and glasses/contacts fitting, but they offer EVERYTHING you need for eye care, and have instruments on-site for surgical needs as well. So glad I found the Eye Associates of Brazos Valley and Dr. Beim!

Professional, courteous staff and everything I needed for my eye care under one roof. Dr. Beim is absolutely brilliant and his practice is top notch. Even has a full service optical shop on-site! His surgical skills are renowned throughout the state (lens replacement, laser etc..), and his clinic handles general eye care needs for my sister as well (examinations, glasses, contacts etc..) HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I was having flashes and floaters in my vision after 4 pm today. My eye doctor is in Houston. I looked for a eye doctor on the Internet. Called first Dr. that came up and that doctor refused to see me because she had closed out her schedule for the day. Dr. Beim was the next name on the list. I called his office and was told to come in immediately. I was taken immediately to the exam room as soon as I walked in the door. I was given a thorough examination and thankfully retina turned out to be ok. I highly recommend Dr. Beim. His staff were very attentive, he was thorough and alleviated my fears and told me what to do the next time I get the flashes in my eye. Dr. Beim just got himself a new patient.

Dr. Biem is thorough with examinations and professional with his mannerisms and expertise. There is very little wait times if ever. Dr. Biem is friendly and caring. Appointments are always a great experience. He is the best ophthalmologist i’ve ever been to. Consider the best for eye health care, and choose Dr. Biem!

This office says my mom must come in every week. My mom is 86 and doesn't speak english but they refuse to talk to me, her power of attorney. Instead, I get a copy of her plan stating "all questions were answered, pt acknowledged understanding". When I need to cancel bc of my moms poor health, the nurse threatens me saying "if anything happens to her eyes, you will be responsible". I finally took my mom to another dr and it turns out she just has dry eyes. Don't care about their patients, only $

I was satisfied with Dr. Beim's cataract surgery. But, later he completely mishandled the treatment of my damaged cornea. He gave me no encouragement on healing of the cornea suggesting that he might have to do surgery. Fortunately, I found a cornea specialist in Houston who told me that there was damage to the cornea, but that it was healing, and that he could speed healing with a soft contact, which it did. Very disappointed in Dr. Beim's diagnosis and treatment. Will no longer recommend him.

Dr Beim is good --great Doctor --- BUT----HAS A OFFICE PERSON UP FRONT WHEN YOU CHECK OUT AND PAY YOUR BILL --- IN BACKGROUND BEHIND CHECK OUT LADY THAT YELLS--( DONT COME BACK) THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME TWICE AT THIS OFFICE ---

Outstanding ophthalmologist I would highly recommend Dr.Beim to all my family and friends.He is very passionate with what he does and truly cares about your patients.

Dr. Beim's staff are trustworthy and always very helpful. Dr. Beim spent adequate time explaining eye condition as well as various treatment options. Deserves 5 Stars!
