Visited and had two surgeries. Dr Stephen Hamn is awesome. My rating is based on complete Client 360 experience - office visit, pre and post surgery, the surgery itself I give him 5 (out of 5) STARS.

First of all I would like to state that this post is not to be negative or vile, but to save someone potentially from sharing my experience. People work hard to meet deductibles and insurance criteria to use their benefits they pay for faithfully annually. Unfortunately we have to give one star to post. First off I want to express that this is not geared toward the nurse practitioners in any fashion or form. They were awesome!! However, the office manager Toni and all of the other staff posses

20 mins. past my appt the lobby door was locked so the Dr. held a "seminar" for those left in the room. Then we were supposed to ask questions. I was not informed of this "seminar" and how awkward asking personal questions in front of complete strangers?? Turn off #. I called to get referral information, Toni was SO Rude! She said it would take 72 hrs for them to contact me and when I told her it had been 2 weeks she barked back at me. Turn off #2. Not enough characters or I could go on!!

No problem with Dr Hamm but staff at Plano location is half assing it to say the least. I was there at least an hour and a half later than ever as they failed to check insurance info until I got there. Then the hopeless twit looked at the wrong or old info which showed my insurance "expired" . She finally called and got that straight but that meant others going before me. Then on the way out she says 170.00 dollars after a consult. I asked "what would it be without insurance bad info again. Free

Had a new patient appointment today. Arrived 45 minutes early, with paper work completely filled out. When I arrived there were 2 people in the waiting room besides me. The apt was for 2pm. Got taken back to a room at 3:15. 3:45 still no Dr, nurse or anyone to say anything. So I left. The staff were like drones. tried to have a conversation with the person who took me to the room and took my blood pressure. Was like talking to a tree. pls avoid this place.

Did not take the time to see that my daughter was a complicated patient. He accepted her operated on her and by the grace of God survived. She caught Necrotizing Facia tissue (flesh eating bacteria disease the mortality rate for this disease is 85 to 90%...according to my research this can only be contracted in the hospital under less than sanitary conditions. Her 3 day procedure .....ended up with multiple surgeries (7) 8 months total hospitilization. He later admitted he shouldn't have opt

On my first visit to his office, this guy pushed me into an exploratory surgery without any examination such as CT or MRI. After I did have my CT done and tried to discuss with him in more details about what my problems are and what are possible dangers for the surgery, this guy just kicked me out because I cancelled the surgery. I am not sure how good his surgical skills are, but I do feel that he just tries to make money from patients. Avoid this guy if you have concerns about your health!!!

Dr Hamn did a good job on my hernia repair surgery. The umbilical incision was very small and looks great. The inguinal repair was also good. The only real concern I had was that Dr Hamn recommends using Medworld Pharmacy out of Houston for meds. I was SHOCKED at how much they charged for the scar reduction cream, which was $5000 for a 4 oz bottle. I bought other cream off the shelf at CVS for $20 a bottle after a prior surgery and it did a much better job. This new cream gave me a rash.
