Terrible Bedside Manners! Not caring for patient!
Visit was rushed through. He had to stop and answered a cell phone call and walked out of the exam with excusing himself. Not showing any care about patient's history. Only focused on what he wanted to hear. Rudely interrupt patient's questions. He is so mechanically working according to his own time clock rather than providing care to meet the needs of the patient! Would not recommend anyone to see a doctor like him.

In my experience Cohen is the worst.
In my experience Dr. Cohen is the worst cardiologist I chose. He seemed ok for awhile until my blood pressure spontaneously began spiking too high. I called the office 3 times and asked that he order a new antihypertensive medication. He never responded. So I had to make an appointment for an office visit which he could have easily ordered by replying to my messages. He ordered a medication that gave me heart palpitations and shortness of breath when I took it. When I called the office again, he again never responded. I wound up in ER on the following weekend. The ER doctor called and texted Cohen who again never answered, and I was told to call him the following week which I did several times. No reply!!!!! I then found another cardiologist who is more responsive to helping me. I would not recommend Cohen to remove a splinter let alone take care of my heart issues!

Excellent
Dr Cohen is appropriately conservative in not over-prescribing treatments. I have AFib.

Okay.
I saw he had great reviews so I chose to come to him. He didn’t really listen to me or let me speak. The worst part is I occasionally smoke marijuana and he literally screamed at me and judged me and made me feel horrible. I almost ended my appt right then and there because I don’t deserve to be yelled at like that.

I have recommended Dr. Cohen to all my friends and family, I have been under his care for approximately 20 years. My quality of life has improved and at times I feel better than 20 years ago. He is caring and will tell you exactly what is going on with your heart. He is knowledgeable and keeps up with the latest techniques and procedures. I had atrial fib 60% of the time and my last check up was o%, I am on my 4th pacemaker due to a very low heart rate. Through monitoring I feel he is keeping me alive with the best quality of life a 87 year old can have. I therefore give him a 5star.

Have been seeing Dr. Cohen for a number of years. Keep thinking I should change doctors, but never get around to it. He seems technically bright and knowledgeable. However communication is an issue. He talks too fast, doesn't listen well, and time spent with me is 5 minutes max.

Last month my husband had a medical emergency and was transported by ambulance to Hoag-Irvine. We were amazed and very thankful that my husband’s Cardiologist was there ready to start a procedure on another patient. When Dr. Cohen heard it was his patient coming into the ER, he immediately came to the rescue. He was able to quickly diagnose my husband’s problem and a pacemaker was installed. My husband has been a patient of Dr Cohen’s for 3 years. Last month he saved my husband’s life.

Dr Cohen severely upset my mother at Hoag Hospital. He was abrupt, talked so quickly it was hard to understand him, told my mom he was changing her BP med (after being in CICU) and sending her HOME THAT AFTERNOON! When I questioned this and said her BP had gone up to 199 last night and her heart rate to 34, he acted like I shouldn't be questioning his judgement. He told me what new med he was putting her on and then told the primary doctor something different! Then he left.
