Dr. Srinivas Sanka, DO

Being new to the area, I needed to select a new insurance plan and primary care doctor. A family member had been a patient of Dr. Sanka and spoke highly of him. I searched Florida Blue's website and selected one of their top Platinum plans, paying approx. $500 month. Before I purchased the insurance, I wanted to verify Dr. Sanka was covered under the plan. I easily found him on the Florida Blue directory, confirming that he was covered under my plan and that he was accepting new patients. After my insurance was established about a week later, I called Dr. Sanka's office to make my first appointment. The office staff proceeded to tell me Dr. Sanka does not accept Florida Blue, despite being listed multiple times under a list of accepted physicians on Florida Blue's website AND the Florida Blue website having a large, bold disclaimer, 'To make sure you're seeing correct information, only providers who confirm the accuracy of their information with us every 90 days are listed.'

Dr. Olga Maric works with Dr. Sanka and she is fantastic fantastic fantastic

Never have freedom insurance which dropped our primary we had for 5 years and switched us( recommended ) dr sanka Horrible will switch during open enrollment He belongs with Freedom

Horrible Dr/patient relations. Totally uncaring for their patients. My 90yr old mother fell and could not walk. Dr Sanka refused to prescribe a wheelchair. I was having to carry her on my back to the bathroom and to the car to get her to Dr office! Finally a nurse advocate from Humana insisted he prescribe the wheelchair. Thank God for Humana! And even then it was like pulling teeth to get the staff to follow thru. Horrible patient care.

I have nothing but total trust and respect for Dr. Sanka. He is up to date and informed. He maintains excellent communication with all my speciallist and coordinates my general health care and responds to the care of my specialist. He maintain direct interaction with my spevialists. A very caring and thorough primary care Doctor.
