Dr. Srilatha Kothandaraman, MD

My previous rheumatologist retired and I was moved over to Dr K. The first visit she said she wouldn’t be comfortable prescribing my antidepressants and then wanted to work my way off pain meds which have been the only treatment I have found to work for my fibromyalgia. The only suggestions she gave me were to exercise, eat well and try to get good sleep. She was not there for my second visit where I explained that my pain was not being managed with the lower dose. On my third visit, she told me I needed to find a new doctor bc she didn’t want to prescribe the meds. When asked what other options where there after all I tried, she said my plan had already been in place. She either doesn’t think fibro is real or she wants to be the only one to diagnose her patients.

Been seeing Dr Raman for 2 or more years for treatment of my severe RA, in which i have been getting monthly infusions, i am currently on my 3rd different med,due to fact the Dr discusses my treatment, symptoms and lab results with each visit, she alsolistens and note any and every concern i may have, of which we agree to change of meds, if needed, I am very pleased with the treatment im on now, Dr Kothandaraman and her team have been exceptional in every aspect of my treatment, always greeted with a smile, and some light banter, which is very comforting

diagnosed me right away, however she did not explain the condition or give me any information on how to adjust my diet or lifestyle or exercise. Had to learn all about that by google. Im in so much pain and I don't think she realizes it. The pain is constant and I consider myself too young to be in constant pain for the rest of my life. I think she just likes patients that have simple common problems.

Dr. Raman has been my rheumatologist since 2022 when I was diagnosed with Lupus. She is always very thorough with information, caring and provides the best possible care for her patients. Whenever i have any questions or concerns, she and her staff are always quick with responses!

I sought out Dr. Kothandaraman after seeing another specialist that could not diagnose my condition. Dr. Kothandaraman was extremely thorough in her approach, from gathering details about my symptoms to running tests and finally uncovering the issue. I cannot express my gratitude and relief when Dr. Kothandaraman identified the cause; something the previous specialist was not capable of doing. After treatment, I am now back to doing all the things I use to do, including riding my Peloton and going for long walks/hikes.

Dr. Raman and her team are absolutely the best! I have been a patient since 2019 and could not imagine going anywhere else. She is attentive and does not hesitate to collect additional labs or provide a referral to provide the best plan of action for patient concerns. Love the fact that she can be seen at multiple locations. While I prefer the Dallas location because of additional services within a reasonable distance; I frequent the Richardson location due to FREE parking. Additionally, I love the flexibility of using the patient portal for faster replies; the team typically responds by end of day.

Dr. K has been so helpful on my journey to managing my autoimmune disease. She took an aggressive approach to my treatment and I can honestly say that I feel better because of it. I continue to see positive results under her care. I feel comfortable asking her questions, and she is knowledgeable and confident. The ACT office staff is typically pleasant to work with, but I have had a few issues when discussing financial matters. Overall my experience with Dr. K has been wonderful.

She is very thorough and will do what ever it takes to find the cause and ensures treatment meets the needs. She refers and consults with other physicians in different specialties to provide a patient centered approach. Always personable and knowledgeable. I have never been rushed and she always develops a care plan with my input. Many times I am given options and from that we decide a treatment plan together. When I lost insurance because of an insurance error she ensured I maintained the ability to get my injections with out of the box thinking. I have never had to question any care plan or decision. I am 100% comfortable and appreciate her combined lifestyle medicine view. She seems to regard patient objective and subjective information as much as she does the biomarkers. Without a doubt the best!

Dr Raman is the best in my book. She is kind and caring and has a genuine interest in helping her patients feel better. She will work with you and listen to you to get you the best options available. I've been seeing her for a number of years now and would recommend her without hesitation.

Dr. Kothandaraman makes you feel like you are her most important patient. She listens to you as you describe your pain & symptoms. Her support staff, especially Eunice & Rachel, are there as your first line of defense. Thanks to Dr. Kothandaraman, I am now on a combination of drugs that keep my Lupus flare ups to a minimum.

Dr Raman is a good listener. Her advice has always been clear and her recommendations have enabled me to recover from injury and health problems while under her care. I would certainly recommend her as a physician for others. I have absolute confidence in Dr. Raman.

I see Dr. Kothandaraman once a month and I always feel that I am being treated with care and respect. She is very thorough and informative. She takes the time to answer my questions and address any concerns that I may have. She seems to genuinely care for her patients and makes me feel at ease by always greeting me with a warm smile. She has the BEST medical assistant ever! I am ALWAYS pleased with my visits and will continue medical treatment with her. In my opinion, she is one of the best in town.

Dr. Kothandaraman is an incredible person and an excellent physician! She addresses my issues immediately and doesn't stop until she finds a solution to my health problems. She always takes time to listen intently to my concerns and I always leave with an interventive treatment plan. Of all the rheumatologists I've seen, she is by far the BEST. I totally trust her with my health and I know that she will use all tools at her disposal to help me live my best life. I'm incredibly grateful for her dedication to maintaining my health and I can't imagine what shape I'd be in without her.

On my first visit, Dr. Raman spent a considerable amount of time with me assessing my situation. It was apparent she had already spent time going over the test results from another physician which had resulted in me being sent her way to begin with. She was completely prepared for my visit. She took the time to help me understand what was going on and gave me a lot of information about my condition that helped ease any concerns I had coming in. Dr. Raman not only orders the appropriate tests to treat my condition, but thoughtfully listens to what I have to say about symptoms I am having and takes action to give me quick relief. I was encouraged to call the office with any concerns or issues I may have between visits. On the times I have called, I always receive a return call the same day. The entire staff is wonderful.

Dr Ramen is very dedicated to helping her patients. She will work with your other doctors if necessary. She listens to you and answers all your questions and prescribes what she thinks is the best course for you to follow. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Raman is always very detailed in our visits. She is also good about referring to another doctor, if she sees something that concerns her or feels I would benefit from additional treatment and/or oversight by someone else.

I've been seeing Dr. Kothandaraman for almost five years now and she has been extremely helpful in making sure that I keep my lupus under control. She is great at explaining things and allowing me to tell her what I am comfortable with. She is very knowledgable and I trust her completely with all the treatment. I couldn't see myself seeing another rheumatologist.
