I met Dr. Dewan while in the ER as a result of an extruded disc that caused me an insane amount of pain. Despite her busy schedule, she made the time to come see me and listen to me describe the situation. After providing a few options, she recommended surgery, which was completed a few weeks later...and I haven't felt pain since. I found Dr. Dewan to be helpful, professional, compassionate and EXTREMELY good at her job. If I had a buck for every person I told about her, I'd be driving a new Tesla. She's outstanding, and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor or a better experience.

Dr. Dewan was called in to see me at the hospital after I had experienced a very bad fall. During my stay I had 3 Scans, the last one showing that most of the blood was resorbed and I could go home. Upon my release, my papers specified I should call her in 3 weeks for a final CTScan to ensure that there was nothing abnormal in the brain. I scheduled it for a Friday. Her receptionist told me that Dr. Dewan's nurse would get back to me after a week with the results of the Scan. I replied that was unacceptable. The results of CTScans are known immediately; why would I have to wait a week to get the result? Her answer was that she does not give them over the phone or by email, but rather insists on a visit in her office; she had no time until the next Friday. I again stated that this is unacceptable and most inconsiderate. The call was ended. I contacted my regular doctor who called me right after the weekend with the "everything is fine" result. I will not see Dr. Dewan.

I had never had surgery, I went in with the hope that there was an alternative.(did p.t., cortisone shots etc. already) Dr. Dewan was referred to me by a friend who had her as his surgeon, with much success. Dr. Dewan went over my MRI with me (she had already studied it but asked me if it was explained to me - nobody had) She explained everything, took her time, answered all my questions. She was lovely. I have never felt more at ease with a doctor and in better hands. I am so thankful for her
