Initial diagnosis and treatment plan meeting
We saw Dr. Ross yesterday and he spent an 1 1/2 hours with us and was referred to us by one of the best Nuerosurgeons in this area at Delnor Northwestern Hospital: Dr. John Braydon. One dr. wanted to do a co-flex procedure into my husbands spine. Dr. John Braydon knew that Dr. Ross does that procedure and wanted us to see Dr. Ross to see if my husband would be a candidate for co-flex procedure. Dr. Ross read my husband's MRI and disagreed with the first surgeon who wanted to insert co-flex into my husband's back. He spent a lot of time with us educating us about my husband's MRI. What a relief that he verified that my husband should not have the co-flex procedure. Do I dare give the name of the other dr who was so ready to put the co-flex into my husbands spine?

Dr. Ross is an excellent, skilled surgeon. He is knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations. He relates to the patients and is a kind and compassionate individual. He treats you as though you were a member of the family. His calm, confident demeanor made a very difficult time far less frightening for me and my family.

I had a consultation with Dr. Ross on Wednesday, July 10th. He spent so much time with me and so thoroughly explained everything as he was viewing my MRI. He really listened to me and understood why I did want to rush into back surgery at this time. Dr. Ross offered some options to give me some more time to make the right decision. I really liked his bedside manner.

Doctor Ross is the kindest, most caring Doctor I have EVER met!!! He spent more time with me in my first visit than my doctor has in 6yrs! He went frame for frame of my MRI and explained too me with a cervical skeleton and explained too me what others had missed. THABK YOU once again Dr. Ross! You are a GREAT DOCTOR but more important, even a BETTER human being!

He treated my precious elderly mother with the compassion you want for your precious mom. I wish every experience with her healthcare was as good as our experience with Dr. Ross. He took the time to ask detailed questions and patiently waited while she rambled on a bit too much. He treated her with kindness and respect. And most important, we trust his care. Thank you, what a gift you are to families in need!
