I’ve been seeing Dr. Freedman for over 30 years, since I was 10, so maybe I’m biased, but he is a great doctor and an excellent surgeon (not just my opinion, but according to nurses and other health experts at the hospitals he’s worked with, and nurses know things that patients rarely find out). He is wonderful about post operative pain management, some doctors are so scared of FDA regulations that they don’t prescribe proper pain medication, he makes sure that it is on your chart if needed when you wake up, so you can just focus on healing. I’ve had multiple surgeries that include ureteroscopy and I’ve never had any complications, he is incredibly skilled with controlling the scopes and lasers required so you don’t need open surgery. He listens, looks me in the eyes, and doesn’t rush through explaining procedures and is always willing to pull up the tests or films and show why something is necessary. He has helped me immensely with appeals when my insurance tried to deny coverage or only paid out of network benefits. And his staff is very loyal, some of them have stayed with home for decades and that doesn’t happen often in Las Vegas. I sent my husband to him for a vasectomy when we were done with having babies and he had no complications plus Dr. Freedman confirmed that the procedure was successful with a second sperm count check (which is apparently not standard practice with the number of medical professionals who have asked me if I still get a period before having certain medical procedures and when I tell them that my husband had a vasectomy, they start to tell me that isn’t 100% certain and then they seem surprised when I tell them it was confirmed via sperm count after it had healed have been surprised that it was confirmedHe also did my husband’s vasectomy when it was time, no complications there. My biggest concern is that he might retire someday and I’ll be forced to find another urologist, but thanks to his hip replacements, he’s no longer limping around the office and able to stand for long surgeries again, so hopefully with those titanium femur heads, he’ll be healthy and spry for another 30 years!!

Politeness on their error n pay up if you error
Dr Sheldon Freeman is an excellent doctor. His personal care and politeness rates the only stars. Now as far as the staff in the appointments let me give you a little bit of my story. I had an appointment booked, they made an error, contacted me and told me they overbooked. Requested to make a different day. I was given a different day I specifically asked for them to wait so I could write it down and the lady rushed me off the phone stating don't worry you'll get a text and a phone call. I did get a text, of course the text number didn't come back up as Dr. Sheldon Freeman office, it's a different number, so I missed it. They never called. They DID call to let me know I missed my appointment and they're going to charge me. So expect if they want you to accommodate for their error, them to be nice and polite, but if you through there inability to just wait a few minutes and allow you to write it down, error, miss ur appointment ur paying n they're rude, talk over you and unforgiving.

Don't trust him
Saw him 2 years ago and had a cystoscopy, recommended choice of 2 prostate procedures, mainly a study he was promoting,. Was very short and didn't want to answer questions. Bottom line I had a cystoscopy just recently and the surgeon said I have no problem with my prostate, he said a procedure would "pad my pocket but do little for you" I guess that's Freedman's MO, glad there are honest doctor's too

Unfortunately I have to agree with most of the reviewers on this site. Dr Freedman’s bedside manners leave a lot to be desired. I had the urolift procedure last August and it’s now almost March and I’m still having post surgery side effects which are sense of urgency and frequency which along with minor loss of control are the main symptoms of OAB which this Doctor never thought to explore. But he can’t make any money or pad his stats with that diagnosis. He also never bothered to tell me that the procedure was 60/40 as to success ratio. I have had numerous surgeries and procedures and Dr Freedman was the first doc NOT to come to talk to me in the recovery room. I think I am being generous giving him two stars. STAY AWAY

Unfortunately, my experience with this doctor was no pleasant, and the surgical outcome not as smooth as expected. I understand that certain medical conditions are not as worrisome for the doctor as it is for the patient; however, it would have been nice if he had shown some sort of sympathy after knowing how desperate I've been in the last few days, going in and out of emergency rooms because my scrotum is red, itchy as hell, swollen, and oozing. To his point of view, everything seems normal but as a patient, I feel unheard and very unhappy. So, I am now taking antibiotics previously prescribed by the ER doctor and trying to request the culture and blood work results subsequently done at the ER to make sure I do not have any infection. So do your research and please GO to a different physician.

Absolutely horrible experience with this doctor. 2 years ago I got a vasectomy because my wife has a medical condition and her doctors told us that it would be a huge risk on her health if she got pregnant again. A year and a half later, she gets pregnant. This office had me go get more tests done at Quest Diagnostics to see what’s going on. First test came back with “Rare Sperm” 1 so they ask me to go back in for another test recently to double check and that test showed “Zero Sperm” detected. So, I call into the office to get some information on this because it doesn’t make sense and I asked to speak to the doctor. They said the doctor WON’T take phone calls from his patients and I would have to schedule an appointment and pay to see him. I paid the doctor for results and it obviously didn’t work and now I can’t get ahold of the doctor to discuss what is happening with these test? The back office is very rude, condescending. This starts with the doctor that runs the show.

Wonderful experience, i respect wait times for a well reviewed Doctor, the office is clean and comfortable, its not made to have reclining chairs.. Water in office (Urology office) so that makes sense. Bathroom was clean, clear instructions given for billing and how to take care of my treatment. I even requested to write them down for me , they did. Never once felt uncomfortable during procedure mentally or physically. Surgery was 30 minutes max and well explained instructions during it. Would go back in the future for sure and recommend to family.

Enjoyable experience! I found the office staff to be extremely friendly and accommodating. Yes, I had to wait a bit after my appointment time, but well worth it for this Dr.'s expertise. He took his time and answered all my questions and I left happy. Would recommend to anyone!

Miserably rude "manager", front desk and billing personnel poorly trained on diagnostic coding flow and correction and inconsistent direction given to me regarding timing on certain lab testing. The manager blew off the inconsistency and flipped a whole lot of attitude when I asked her to clarify with the doctor. I worked with over 2300 physician practices during my professional career and this is one of the worst ones I've seen.

Horrible Staff! The admin staff is so rude I would not ever recommend stepping foot in this office! Supposedly this guy is a great doctor but I wasn't able to meet the doctor because his staff was so rude I walked out. After waiting for over 45 mins past my appointment time, I asked how much longer the wait would be and the admin lady bit my head off and started blaming the doctor...and telling me to complain to the doctor is not her fault. They even took my copay and didn't return, to top it

I have been seeing Dr. freedman since 2014. An office clerk called me two days before my appointment for UROFLOW and Bladder ultrasound test to notify me that they have not received a PSA result from my primary physician. I informed her that I have signed a medical record every year so that you can obtain the records from any physician that I have seen. Obtaining the data was your office responsibility since my last visit 6 months ago. However, the clerk ego was touched and told me that all my a

I met Dr. Freedman at the Summerlin hospital when I was having a kidney stone problem. He was great about getting me seen and getting the stone out. He took a lot time to explain things about the options. He also took a lot of time to follow up with my wife while I was still in recovery.
