Dr. Richens focuses on her patients. She may run behind because when she comes into the room, she will answer any and all questions and discuss various options. Dr Richens has been my doctor now for over 10 years and I know she cares and looks for solutions

After I explained what I was confused about in our last few visits, Dr. Richens spent a lot of time explaining everything to educate me on what was happening and what to expect with my eyes. She is very knowledgable, but is rushed at times. She was apologetic to me which I really appreciated and has a very positive manner with conversing with her patients. She really likes to please her patients as much as possible.There is a long wait for scheduling appointments and also a long wait in the waiting room to see her which is why I gave her a 4 out of 5.

Dr. Richens cares about every aspect of my health. I enjoy seeing her and am certain she is providing me with the best treatment possible.Her staff is always supportive, professional and friendly. I feel fortunate to be one of her patients.

Dr Richens is very thorough. I have a difficult cataract case because of my previous rk surgery. I have utmost confidence in her abilities. She is also very kind, not only with patients, but with staff, as well and has a great sense of humor.

In my experience the care you get here is comparable to larger cities. Wait times are long everywhere. Think of all the prep behind the scenes. No question is left unanswered and I got advice ranging from eyewear to a supportive diet for eye health. I see better now than I ever have in my life. I never want to go anywhere else.

Cataract surgery went perfectly and very pleased with the result

Stressful, has no regard for patients time keeping them waiting 2-4 hrs. Answers my questions very vague and changes diagnosis on a monthly basis. Office is run by incompetent and rude staff. In my care, she lacked any empathy, and my impression was she cared about the money she could get from a patient and not the care of her patient.

Dr Richens is an extremely skilled surgeon, but she is also very personable and friendly with each patient. She answered all my questions and made me feel confident in the success of the surgery. Though I had previous LASIK surgery on both eyes that made the implanted lens replacement more challenging, Dr Richens made it seem easy. I had cataract surgery on both eyes (Dec 28 and Jan 3). Just 1 day after the 2nd surgery, my eye sight is nearly 20/20 in both eyes. I first wore glasses in 1975 and after LASIK surgery in 1999, I didn’t think I would be so excited and amazed by a surgeon again, but it was better than I could have imagined. The thing I appreciated nearly as much as her expertise and skill was that it wasn’t overshadowed by a feeling of arrogance. This characteristic of being skilled but not arrogant or unapproachable is rare and deserves to be acknowledged.

5 years ago, I had a kamera inlay put in my left eye. I could not be more pleased with the results. I can read without glasses. Dr. Richens has made a life changing event in my life. Make your next eye exam at her Eye Center, you will be happy you did. She is an absolutely wonderful person.

Without question, this is the finest eye clinic in southern Utah. Everything is first-class, from Dr. Richens and her excellent team of ophthalmologists, optometrists and technicians, including top specialists from Moran Eye Center at the U of Utah, to state-of-the-art equipment, a new in-house surgery center, comfortable furnishings, and a well-stocked optical shop. Dr. Richens is a leader in her field and recent President of the Utah Medical Association, but devotes generous time and attention to each patient, setting the high standards of the entire operation. We are lucky to have her in St. George.
