Great doc! Listens very carefully to what we say but, more importantly, respects the patient and the family or caregiver. You receive truly collaborative care with Dr Poupalos and she has excellent rapport with older folks. Super office staff as well!

Dr. Shannon Poupalos is a great listener and very thorough! She talks to you like you’re a friend. She laughs with you because she feels and understands you. She is the best primary I’ve ever have. In addition, her team is amazing. They’re friendly and always on top of everything!

Dr. P is knowledgeable and an overall good doctor. What could make a better experience, is taking time for more specific needs such as working together to come up with a plan specific to your medical condition. For example, having heart disease is a serious condition, and many times you don’t know what direction to take to get healthier. While medications help maintain the condition, having a plan to make a healthier lifestyle would be beneficial. She does ask questions about your lifestyle habits, but I walk away with no good plan of action. Is there a dietician I can see? What steps can I do to lower my blood sugar and pressure? What specific factors should I be careful of as a woman of color? These things would make an overall excellent experience to the visit.

I have had a lot of Primary Physicians over the years, and Dr. Poupalos is one of the best! Great communication skills.

Dr. Poupalos always listens to me and is very thorough. I sent a message to her through my portal with two issues I’ve been having. The next day her office called me saying Dr. Poupalos would like to see me in the office to discuss my issues. They were able to get me in three days later. When I saw her, she listened with concern and she made a plan to diagnose my two issues. I cannot say enough about how much I trust and appreciate her advice.

I'm not an easy patient to deal with, hard to medicate due to phobias. Dr. P. Has always been patient with the roadblocks I give her and finds another way to help me. She cares and it shows. At my last appointment I gave her a laundry list of issues and she took the time to address every one of them. She made suggestions I hadn't thought of and left me feeling cared for and optimistic about my health.
