Dr. Shama Mittal, MD

Dr. Mittal is a wonderful doctor who listens closely to your concerns, your health status, and anything else you share and provides the appropriate care and treatment accordingly. She is very kind. She is a great primary care physician and will refer you only to the best specialists in the area, whom she trust sand whom stays in close contact with in coordinating your care. I have referred many friends and their families to Dr. Mittal's care.

At every visit, in addition to the basic medical checks, she asks questions that may help explain symptoms. She has never minimized my concerns and even after giving her advice will respect my wishes. There is no rush to the visit, she genuinely wants to help her patients and even if you remember a concern at the end of the visit, she will not let you leave unless she checks it out. I am totally satisfied with my doctor.

I have been a patient of hers for over 15 years. She is caring, professional, patient, efficient and listens to your concerns. Also, she is extremely knowledgeable in her field of expertise. I don’t see myself going anywhere else for health care treatment. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a physician.

Dr. Mittal is very knowledgeable and effective. She is thorough and explains things making sure you understand. She spends a lot the of time with you and doesn’t rush the visit. Dr. Mittal takes care of the whole family. I highly recommend Dr. Mittal.

Very friendly and caring doctor. I found Dr Mittal to be excellent and very competent. She very patiently listened to me and took her time to explain and answer my questions. She gave me advice, and suggestions on what I needed to do to improve my health to get better, as well as what I should not do. I highly recommend her with no hesitation. So glad to have found this doctor.

Dr. Mittal was instrumental in helping my mother recover from an emergent cardiac surgery. The helped us stabilized her and bring her back “to life” (with God’s help). She is very knowledgeable and wise! If you are looking for a physician that is concerned about your overall health, she is it. Very grateful for her practice. If my mother had not moved, she would be her current physician. I can’t comment on the staff because I know time brings change however, I’m sure she has a great support staff.

She keeps very current on meds and I find her very easy to talk to. She is very real! I am lucky to have found her

Not sure who this doctor is or what type of office they are running. They are only concerned about your money not the care of patients. Shame on you! The receptionist is something else. How dare you cancel my mothers appt and tell her she must pay $150 when she has insurance and is to ONLY pay a copay. We called the insurance to verify and they confirmed we were to pay only a copay. The insurance then called her and she lied to them saying she didn't cancel. I am reporting this office.

She is the best family medicine doctor possible - she is committed, knowledgeable, and has an intuitive sense of what may be wrong

I have been a patient for about 6 months. Recently I became ill from a medication dr Mittal had prescribed ( cymbalta). The directions on the package stated not to stop taking it without a doctors supervision. I tried for over a week to make an appointment, to leave a message with her assistant, and the answering service. Nothing!, finally, I gave up and decided to search out another doctor. I have wasted a great deal of time trying to get her to respond.

My view on Dr Mittal's care (or periodic preventive check up) has been great. I go to her for both of us and I like the courteous staff and excellent care of Dr Mittal. Have been going there for almost three years, no issues at all. Listens to all your concerns very well unlike some other doctors who are in rush almost all the time...

She listens, knows her craft of being a doctor and makes you feel at ease. I liked her at once. Will recommend to family and friends.
