For a while, very good. I was then hospitalized for three days. Nonnemaker was notified but never came to see me. I discharged mysekf after 3 days as all test results were negative. Called Nonnemaker the next day to revidw reesults of tests. His assistant, Isaiah refused to allow me to to to Nonnemaker, and then said they would not review my results because I had checked myself out of the hospital.. I ve talked with other doctors. Not an aceptable policy. I tried one more time to reach Nonnemaker directly, but Isiash intercepted and aid I would never get through to him. Isiash ought to be fired. Since I sent a registered letter to Nonnemaker himself without a reply, I assume he agrees with his policy. Therefore, I strongly suggest staying away from this practice. Unbelievable!

Excellent Doctor.
Dr. Nonnemaker is a GEM, he will do everything possible to get to the root cause of the problem as opposed to masking with medicine. He has also responded promptly to help even when he was off duty. Dr. Nonnemaker goes above and beyond to help patients, we are lucky to have such a fabulous and caring doctor in this area.

Has better things to do
My mother has been completely neglected by this man. He was too busy to approve IV fluids for my dehydrated mother, he was too busy to address her dangerously low electrolytes, and he was too busy to to order a scan of her head after a reported fall. I’ve never seen someone do a job so poorly, despite this, he holds the title of “Doctor”. BUT his rose gold stethoscope did match his watch…

BEWARE!!! He is not a patient centered medical professional. He was assigned to my mother at Manatee Memorial Hospital. I am her POA. I am the only voice to advocate for my mother. He tried to discharge my mother without thoroughly assessing her illness, nor communicating the results of any tests to insure that we can get her adequate help to increase her wellnesses. No where near well enough to be sent home. I refused to sign the discharge forms and now they decided to reconsider discharging her. It has been 5 days so far that she has been in the hospital and not once have I seen him, heard from him, or even recievied any messages or voicemails from him concerning my mother. I have no formal diagnosis, prognosis, or tretreatment plan for my mother. This is RIDICULOUS! If it was his mother he would expect nothing less then the best treatment for his love one. I am filling several grievances against him. Doesn't communicate or return calls. Definitely not patient centered care.

Dr. Nonnemaker looks at the patient from a holistic perspective, and he listens. If you have questions, he will help you find the answers. He's considerate, practical, and extremely knowledgeable. He takes the time to learn about his patients' health concerns, which so many doctors these days just don't do. I saw six doctors over ten years, who could not diagnose a reason for my debilitating, postpartum exhaustion. Dr. Nonnemaker listened to my concerns, ran tests, and truly helped get my health back on track in record time. I'd highly recommend Dr. Nonnemaker for anyone serious about their health and wellness.

I had been looking for a new PCP for awhile, ever since i moved down to Florida. I was never quite happy with the physicians I chose up in Tampa. They were not bad, by any means and my care was fine but I was never satisfied with the explanations and methodologies being explained to me - they lacked substance. I am writing this review, because it stood out to me when I met Dr Nonnemaker what i had been missing with my previous PCP's. He explains why is he doing something in a concise, logical manner. He answers all your questions, in a way befitting a professional who knows and understands his craft (which is apparent). My blood pressure was high, he explained both the Systolic and Diastolic to me, explained the options of medicines (and the specifics of each), gave a timeframe in which we would assess a change in food and exercise routines and a date in which we would revisit the option of medicines. He was methodical, confident and followed through - i appreciated it.

On my first appointment I was expecting the typical “bums rush” “just a number” attitude. But what an amazing surprise when Dr. Nonnemaker spent a great deal of time discussing my concerns, listening to me and forming a plan of action to address the variety of issues I set before him. His staff was very nice with an extra nod to the receptionist and doc’s nurse. I suppose I should find a flaw; so digging deep, I am not a fan of some of the cartoons at the checkout desk. ;)

This guy is horrible. Not sure he even exists. Showed up only once. Never returns calls and is never in his office and his office doesn't know where he is. No communication His office is terrible too - not helpful, not friendly and they don't call back. Wait time is DAYS not minutes. Went to his office 5 times he was never there. Eventually after many tries something kind of gets done. You do not want to use these people for anything.
