Say What You Mean and Mean What You Say
Jenkins was to be my new PC, my old one retired. I had thyroid labs done by a separate DO. I wanted to combine the 2 efforts to one Dr. Would he be able to do that. Yes. I get 2 labs a year to check thyroid levels, once a year will be a Lipid panel. Does that sound doable? Yes. First visit, great. Second visit the T3 and T4 tests were not done. Why? Well if your TSH level is OK, "we" don't check the T3 and T4. But I had asked you to. No response on portal. Next test, level of TSH is moving towards Hyperthyroid. 6 months later, still higher and I complain of heart palpitations and sometimes all my insides feel like they are vibrating. Test comes back, no TSH level tested! Moved on to new Dr. My TSH was 0.09 on a test, it is not to be below .35. I am hyperthyroid. Explains why hands have been shaking, heart palpitations, anxiety increase and a bit of depression and peeling fingernails. LISTEN to your patients! There were a couple other peeves here. Move on.
