Porter is a terrible doctor. Period. The amount of medicine this guy knows could fit onto the tip of a retractor which he’d probably leave inside of you because of gross incompetence. There are better trained, better doctors out there. It would be a gross underestimation to say that I was completely dissatisfied with my outcome and level of service. There is reason he’s a small fish in a small pond. No credible hospital would take this clown. He won’t even do rounds after the surgery to see post-ops. He farms out everything to his staff because his ego won’t fit in the room with others. Just run away (if you don’t need hip or knee replacements)

Amazing Surgeon!!
Dr. Porter is an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING surgeon and I rebut all negative reviews. Dr. Porter performed a Total Left Knee Revision in January 2018, and most recently (January 2025) a Left Shoulder Arthroscopy with Decompression. Dr. Porter and his amazing team are always timely, courteous, caring and knowledgeable. I’m grateful for his expertise and the quality of life he has given back to me.

The follow-up after surgery is poor. Office takes a very long time to get back to you if you email or call with a question. After surgery is done, there seems to be a general lack of caring about the patient.
