Dr. Keshavarzi completed a minimally invasive laminectomy & discectomy on L4-l5. He is not only an Incredible surgeon, but he has a high emotional intelligence which shows in his compassionate bedside manners. He is an excellent communicator who ensures he explains medical jargon in layman’s terms. I watched a YouTube lecture of his, skimmed several medical articles he collaborated on, and read every review or patient testimonial I could find before deciding to keep my referral appointment with him. My research left me feeling utterly confident that he was the perfect neurosurgeon to work on my case. I am several weeks post op and making great strides in my recovery. I had what appeared to be incomplete cauda equina from what I gathered after perusing record notations. To say I was terrified as I slowly lost control of my body in the weeks before seeing Dr. Keshavarzi is putting it mildly. He made me feel whole again and I am quite grateful. His “no what ifs” approach is what saved my mobility and other key body functions. Don’t hesitate to let him take care of your medical needs. (And staff makes or breaks a medical practice. Let me set your mind at ease that EVERY single member of his team is as dedicated and kind.)

Dr. Keshavarzi is incredible. I had ACDF C3/C4 surgery and I couldn’t be happier. He is professional, kind, a great listener, and an amazing surgeon. I did a ton of research in choosing a surgeon and I know I picked the best. If I had to have another ACDF surgery, he’d be the only person I’d allow do it. Eternally grateful for his expertise.

Dr Keshavarzi is an amazing physician. I went to him for second opinion but then decided to use him for my fusion. He is knowledgeable, informative and assuring in his approach. He explains completely and does not rush thru the appointment. His staff are pleasant and have a caring attitude. Chelsea his PA is awesome too. My surgical experience was made stress free! As a critical care charge nurse, i highly reccomend this physician and his team.

I am a 49 y/o male who suffered from a a herniated disc which got progressively worse over a 20 year period of time. In 2018 I spent 4 days in a hospital in Canada being jolted continuously by the disc pressing on my nerves, I realized I had to look at more serious corrective options once again. I visited Dr. K in mid 2018 and he recommended XLIF surgery (a less invasive form of fusion). Given the bad rap fusion has, I decided to take a conservative approach once again and see if I could make progress, knowing full well that if I didn't get back to where I was before the hospitalization I would go with Dr. K's recommendation. Over the next 6 months my improvement was slow and I was still limited in my activities. I decided to visit Dr. K once more and let him know my decision to get surgery. He was thorough and detailed in his explanation, empathetic with my concerns, but transmitted confidence in the end result once the issue was corrected. The surgery was scheduled for 08/02/1

I had several conditions clustered near my L5 and L4 that progressively deteriorated after my 68 birthday. I experienced a crippling sciatic pain in my left leg, developed a noticeable limp, and my daily activities became significantly affected. Dr. Keshavarzi explained what he could do to alleviate my condition, advised about the risks involved in the surgery, and gave me time to decide what was best for me. The surgery went well. All my symptoms have disappeared. I thank Dr. Keshavarzi for his skill and bedside manners. I strongly recommend Dr. Keshavarzi to anyone needing to repair their back/spine. I trusted my future to him, and he did not disappoint me.

Dr. Keshavarzi is an excellent and compassionate surgeon with a very confident and calming demeanor. He explains the procedure in detail and listens for any concerns without demeaning any frivolous questions I may have. Best of all, he solved my bothersome herniated disc and had me back to normal in no time. I would highly recommend him for any neurological procedure he would advise.

Dr. Keshavarzi was and is like a breath of fresh air in Bakersfield. I am grateful for his vast experience and ability to methodically diagnose. I came in with a 26 year back damage, pain and a failed surgery. His plan and surgery were executed well and six months later I have recovered. His kind and thoughtful communication with me and my family went above and beyond expectations. His bedside manner is superb.

He repaired a disc and inserted a plate in my neck. I had bone spurs that were touching nerves every time I moved that sent excruciating pain up the back of my neck in to my skull. He completely eliminated that for which I am forever grateful. My scar is minimal and I am a very satisfied patient!
