Dr. Sarah Herts, DO

I keep coming across psychiatrists who take long awkward pauses and say 'umm,' or get rude to me. But not Dr Herts. She always seemed to know exactly what to say and how to say it, and she seemed confident in herself and what she'd say/prescribe. Her demeanor made me trust her and feel comfortable in the appointments. She seemed knowledgable and I believe that's true because I never had anything go wrong in my appointments or with my medications when she was my psych. If you go to see her I think you're in good hands unlike a lot of other psychiatrists. I only saw her on the tv screen for telemed but I could tell she is a great dr. Only complaint is that she stopped doing telemed for us on the eastern shore, wish she would come back to doing that so we could have an excellent Dr again versus the horrible to mediocre ones we have out here which is too bad. Anyway would like to thank her for her help and let people know she is a nice person and smart.

I’ve completed my fourth appointment with Dr. Sarah Herts and I couldn’t recommend a better Psychiatrist! I have a bit of a tricky work schedule and finding a psychiatrist willing to do both medication management and counseling/therapy was essential for me. Her D.O. specialty and focus on complete and holistic medical and mental health care has been THE perfect fit for me. I’ve struggled with pretty severe anxiety and depression since my mid-teens and grew up in a household where mental health issues were things to be ashamed off. As a result, I went undiagnosed for years. Each and every time I complete a session with Dr. Sarah Herts, I feel like I just finished having a conversation with my older, wiser sister and friend. The type of friend that’s going to tell you want you need to hear, not what you want to hear! She has an amazing down-to-earth and approachable way about her. I always leave her office feeling supported, encouraged and hopeful for the future.
