Thorough and insightful
Dr. Banya really took the time to listen and make informed decisions about the best course. I appreciated that she didn't just try to push more drugs.

Dr Batya won't call back and won't have her staff call back, for anything. Absolutely unbelievably bad customer service.

Unprofessional
I know how hard it is to find a good neurologist in Oregon so I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you have ANY other options please explore them before going to see Dr. Batya. The office staff were incredibly rude to me and my primary care physician on the phone during my referral process. They were also hostile and aggressive towards patients in the waiting room, including frail elderly people. At my first appointment, Dr. Batya didn't like how I was describing my symptoms and instead of asking clarifying questions, screamed at me and berated me until I cried. She never apologized. At follow-up 5 months later, she misdiagnosed me. Luckily, I had been evaluated by another doctor in the interim and was already properly diagnosed and undergoing successful treatment. When I told her this, she argued with me, ignoring my obviously improved symptoms. I don't think she even remembered who I was or what my case was about. Please don't waste your time.

Terrible Doctor & Heartless
Worst experience ever… She was rude; heartless & intimidating… basically first words out of her mouth was she Is not a sleep doctor & even though I have seen neurologists before & treated for many years for my migraines & sleep by a neurologist (I am new to community & trying to reestablish into community & area to help manage my health) stated she couldn’t help me & I don’t need a neurologist & that my primary care provider can proceed with my care & prescription which was being prescribed by prior neurologist. She hadn’t even looked at my records prior to my arrival . She stated well we can review your many records during this visit if You choose. These should have been reviewed prior to my visit. My appointment was scheduled months prior. It was the worst experience & lack of compassion …that I have experienced by a doctor in this specialty. I have been treated by a neurologist for 19 years. I was shocked to hear this news . Just a terrible experience!!

Dr Batya was incredibly disrespectful, condescending, rude, invalidating and tried repeatedly to shove her subjective opinion of my intractable pain down my throat. If you want to feel immensely worst about a nerve disease that leads to suicide in about 20% of patients, go to her!

Thorough, efficient and compassionate. Smart, asks good questions and seems to have a broad base of experience. We are lucky to have her practicing at Roverbend and in the area of Neurology.

Dr. Batya did a neurological examination of our son who was experiencing severe balance issues. He was stumbling frequently and falling down not infrequently. The Doctor was very patient with our son who is deaf, autistic, ecolaic and obsessive compulsive. She spent a bit over two hours attending to him despite his challenging communication issues. Her skill and experience determined his condition and developed a treatment plan that has greatly improved his life. She is a dedicated doctor!

Doctor Batya was amazingly attentive to my tremor and memory concerns; she listened closely and completed a thorough exam. Although I am certain she sees patients with far more dibilitating concerns, she treated me with respect, and spoke to me in terms I understood. The staff she and other medical specialists in her practice have chosen to surround themselves with are professional; from the scheduler I first spoke with, to the front office staff who checked me in, to the rooming assistant.
