All staff is patient and understanding, never had any complaints!

My visits with Dr Nigam are always wonderful. He’s very easy to talk with. And he explains your conditions in a very understandable way. I look. Forward to the next visit. I highly recommend Dr Nigam.

Care and concern

Office staff is uneducated, uncompassionate, and surprisingly condescending as well. Some sort of weird Dunning-Kruger effect at play. A surreal experience trying to schedule appointments and check-in. Dr. Nigam himself is fine overall if all you are looking for is a provider who relies entirely upon medication therapy and provides no feedback or therapy himself.If you are in search of a team that without a doubt negatively impact your day literally every single time they interact with you while simultaneously rapid-fire cycle through chemical therapies while not actually addressing any of your concerns, then this is the place for you! Good luck!

I love Joanna Haag like she was a member of the family. She is very genuine, answers any questions that I may have, and is very concerned about my health. I would strongly recommend asking for her when you call for an appointment. Thank you for letting me voice my opinions.

What stood out from the start is how well Dr. Nigam and every staff member we encountered interacted with my mother. Very supportive and skilled treatment.

I have been going here for a number of years now and I will never go anywhere else. I have recommended them to many people. Dr. Nigam is wonderful. Amy has been such a blessing to me. Janet is great. Just the best place I have found out of many, many mental health care providers over the years.

I have been coming here through my entire recovery journey. In less than 1 week I will be celebrating 6 years clean. I can’t thank Dr Nigam and his team enough. They listen to my needs and addressed them as needed. They never judged me for not attending NA/AA which is something I struggled with in previous attempts to get clean. They helped me address my trauma through counseling which lead to a lot of breakthrough I would not have had on my own. I now see Janet who is also absolutely amazing, she is efficient and caring. I work as a certified drug and alcohol counselor now and work with a lot of doctor in the field and no one comes close to the team that I witnessed here. PS if Paris is still there she is phenomenal as well, always recognized me and made me feel at home.

Dr. Nigam is compassionate and an expert in assessing what you need. He seems to know the ins and outs and all the medications that are out there, even nonpsychiatric ones. There is very little wait time and his appointments are not rushed. He knows how to hire staff. They are very friendly and caring. Messages are returned within 24-48 hours as indicated on the recording and patient portal. The patient portal is very helpful and an efficient way to communicate. I just recently explored more of it and found things that I wish I had investigated sooner. I see Diana Jarmann as my therapist and she helps me to put things in perspective, and offers many resources for different situations. Yes, I would recommend Southern Illinois Associates to family and friends.

Reliable and close to home.

I was having an issue with an ex in law trying to reconnect after a decade of no contact. I was feeling unsure in my own decision, so I reached out to Dr Nigam's office for a little bit of guidance on how to handle everything. Within a few minutes of my appointment, I felt more at ease with my plan (with Dr Nigam's input) on how to handle the situation. I followed through with the plan and did not have any problems with how I handled things.

Dr. Nigam cares about his patients and always gets back to communications through his portal. However, trying to get ahold of the office directly is IMPOSSIBLE! I also see his counselor Jenna and she is absolutely AMAZING! She has truly changed my life for the better and cares about me as a patient and as a person! I would recommend her to everyone I know! Paris, one of the workers, is awesome as well!
