Dr. Freeman trained in Psychiatry at Barnes Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri and has continuously practiced at Illinois Associates in Psychiatry in Edwardsville, Illinois since 1995.  Dr. Freeman was awarded Psychiatrist of the Year for 2010 by NAMI of the State of Illinois.
