Dr. Samuel Dismond, MD

Extremely uprofessional. The disparaging tone and abnormal, angry, and impulsive outbursts that this doctor exhibited throughout my appointment continues to affect me to this day - years later. Dr. Dismond additionally seemed to know little about ADHD from a mental health standpoint, which makes sense as he is not a psychologist, psychiatrist, nor therapist. The interaction deteriorated my trust in reaching out for help, even though every other doctor I've ever seen has been professional and helpful.

I reviewed several psychiatric practices before opting for Dr. Dismond. Ultimately, i found they all charge about the same amount so I focused on the services provided. His service provides monthly appointments, online prompt access to staff and doctor, regular check ins, online prescription refill request. Like therapists, you have to find the one that you click with. I've gained much in both insight and information thru my sessions with Dr. Diamond. I appreciate his thoughtful and candid remarks. He listens and engages in the discussion. He offers his opinion (gasp), and a wealth of knowledge that's been pivotal in helping me gain perspective and heal. After a lifetime suffering from undiagnosed ADHD, I'm finally living a life unburdened by the many ailments that used to handicap me. There is a negative review left by someone who was not a patient and offered no insight on Dr. D's service. It appears she asked a rude question and received negative response.

Horrible! Absolutely horrible. Everything started out ok as "Dr.D" explained the process. After he finished I asked him a follow up question concerning his offices HIPPA policies as I am very concerned about privacy in general, but especially my medical information. He instantly changed tone and seemed offended by my question. I tried to clarify what I was asking and really just wanted to hear that his office takes patient privacy seriously. I was told "Yes! And from now on I'll be the one to ask the questions" taken aback I 'MISTAKENLY' asked "Am I not allowed to ask questions?" I was told "If your going to be difficult then your not cut out for this practice!" I was a bit speechless but tried adjusting my tone to be as cheerful and non defensive as possible and said I am just trying to understand how things work. Dr. D told me "I don't need this", and abruptly ended the session, by hanging up on me!
