DO NOT RECOMMEND, BE WARY
The office was completely unreachable other than by physically going there in person (for months tried daily, they said they were having issues with their phone service but that didn't account for how their own billing office and other physicians couldn't reach them for months and there was not even voicemail). He was insulting to me and disrespectful of all of my other medical providers of every specialty. He wouldn't stay in his lane of what I was there for, and he ignored established and documented evidence that fell contrary to his clearly preconceived notions based on obtaining old records he had to right to per HIPAA. I do not recommend him. He should be disciplined. DO NO HARM.

Great experience with Dr Shamim
Was very pleased with all aspects of my interaction with his staff, front desk, medical assistant, and in particular with the time & focus he spent assessing my situation. I had several questions regarding the outcomes of the MRI and he took the time to explain/answer all my questions. Enjoyed his bedside manner and feeling like my issues were of importance to him.

If you could leave -? that's what I really wanted to choose. If Dr. Shamim's medical skills and knowledge were even a fraction the size of his EGO and lack of genuine care for his patients, you might have a chance with him actually helping in some small way. But, alas, they're not, so save yourself time, money, and more days not having a clue what's wrong with you because he will only take you further from where you need to be and then charge you for it.

Dr Shamim, Vanessa and Veronica are wonderful! They truly care about their patients. Dr. Shamim is THE BEST neurologist I have ever seen and I have seen quite a few of them. The first time that I saw Dr. Shamim he came in early on a Monday morning to see me after another neurologist had not returned several calls for a follow up appointment. He was able to figure out what had happened to me based solely on my MRI and what little I knew from what my parents had told me. He was extremely kind and patient; answering all of mine and my husband’s questions. Anytime I message Vanessa or Veronica I know that they will take care of me right away and I don’t need to worry about the issue. They are friendly, yet professional. He and his staff are always available and you can tell that they care about what they are doing. I wish I could give more than five stars.

I will agree with both of the one stars which stated... 1. Rude and unprofessional staff up front. They need a lesson in customer service. You can be correct, which I will not deny they were, however good customer service is telling a customer they are wrong in a kind manner. 2. Yes Dr. Shamim does turn a deaf ear. Seems like he is there to push his research agenda instead of treating patients. Also does not take a good look at prior medical history. I am happy some people were treated with dignity and respect. However in 2019 he is far from “Best Doctors” In dfw like his website shows. He needs to come back down to earth from his self proclaimed throne on Mt. Olympus with the rest of mankind. He has a god complex.

Dr. Shamim saw my husband after he has seen MULTIPLE neurologists about his epilepsy. He was very responsive and actually took the time to listen and try new treatments! He responds when we call with questions and seems to genuinely care about our quality of life! He has changed our life and we feel totally confident in seeing him for his epilepsy!

Dr. Sadat Shamim is by far the best doctor I have ever seen! He is very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. He genuinely cares about every single one of his patients, so expect to wait. Trust me, it is worth it! He spends all the time that is necessary with each patient to ensure they are receiving the best care possible. He even personally called me about an issue non-related to his speciality because I have interrelated medical issues. He is a brilliant doctor with a heart of gold.

Very rude staff. My mother got into a shouting match with one of the receptionists over the simple matter of Dr. Sadat signing paperwork with me and returning it. And Dr. Sadat has horrible rhetoric. He basically turns a deaf ear to your concerns, even when he himself witnesses them. He saw me struggling to walk and did not want to sign paperwork for me to get a handicap placard. Do not go here. You can do better with any other neurologist. He is the most insensitive man on the planet!!!!
