Dr. Ryan Drake, DO

I’ve been seeing Dr. Drake for about seven years. He has always been interested in my health and listens to my concerns. His staff is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend.

Dr Drake is a complete fraud that is all about profiting off of patients suffering..unauthorized tests 3 day EEG after a 1 hr showed no seizure activity)and every time my fiance walked in the door,they demanded more money and gave absolutely no answers! He ordered my fiance could no longer work or drive due to seizure activity (after 10 minutes seeing him at Mercy medical center)that was never proven and cost him his job and insurance..17 months later we are still trying to recover from his incompetence and greed!

Dr Drake was very friendly explaining and showing my results of my test. I would recommend him

Dr Drake has always been very personable and takes the time to explain his findings. The staff here is very friendly as well. I was surprised by the number of negative reviews as I have never had a bad experience and have been going here for years.

Does not explain answers, does testing and send you away. Nasty staff, no follow up All they see is money in their dreams.

He diagnosed with mother with schizophrenia and anxiety after one brief visit. I spoke to him on the phone to relay my concerns about her cognition, suggesting it may be frontotemporal dementia. He was very arrogant and dismissive, insisted it wasn’t, refused any further work up. Took her to Cleveland clinic one month later, diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. I would give him 0 stars if able.

This office is a nightmare. They lose paperwork, don't return calls, and are generally a complete a totally dysfunctional setup. The office manager should be fired. We have been trying for a month to get a clearance from the doctor to allow my husband to get knee surgery. Repeated calls and forms being sent are ignored or lost. My husband has been with this group since his first stroke and it's steadily gone downhill in care. We are now on the hunt for a new neurologist.

Professional, approachable and thorough. He explained my diagnosis and treatment options well and follows my progress. Listens to my questions and offers options.

This is not about Dr Drake, this is about the nightmare answering system, hold times, and prescription refill staff. I started trying to call in a daily 2X a day med refill Tues and left message as instructed and added I had two days of med left. Went to pharm that night, nothing called in. So I called the next day and was on hold 25 minutes to speak to a nurse. She said she would call it in. Went to pharm that evening, no refill. Now I’m completely out and waiting on hold again. 15 min for operator who said it wasn’t processed then 20 min for her to transfer me to a nurse. They said it was called in, so now it’s he said she said and still no med. Disturbing to say the least. Finally a nurse called me back Fri with an attempt at an explanation. She was very nice but I’m back at the pharm again to see if it’s filled. The phone system is a nightmare, I was not in patient portal as an established patient of 20 years, and why is it so difficult to get a refill on necessary daily med

Very rude doctor arrogant Been going to this place for years were they had me on addicted to opioids for years then cut me off with drake lecturing me on taking them what a joke and then telling me another condition that they treated me for I was misdiagnosed for about 20yrs I have 0 confidence and wonder if any docter I’ve seen here in 20 year has ever had a clue what they were doing what a joke!!

I was pleased with the time/attention I received from Dr. Drake during my visits for migraine. He acquainted himself with my history and X-rays. After intently listening to my health story, we had a thorough conversation about migraine and possible treatments. Genuinely compassionate, Dr. Drake was sorry for the pain I was feeling with migraine. Time was used efficiently to question, evaluation, and prescribe plan of care. I wholehearted give Dr. Drake a five-star rating for his quality of care.

I was her patient for years. She wanted to repeat an MRI for an issue that was previously addressed. I said I could not afford an MRI again for the resolved issue. She sent a letter firing me as her patient. So I would find some one with compassion, empathy and who checks your chart before ordering unnecessary,costly testing. NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I have a hard time understanding some of these reviews. In six years, I went undiagnosed with tremors and in pain in my neck. I went to approximately 13 doctors who did not have a clue what was wrong. One visit with Dr. Ryan, he told me what the problem was. After investigating an collaborating with other neurologist, his diagnosis was correct. I find him very friendly and extremely empathetic. He explains the problem, and the procedures to hopefully fix it. I personally think he is a very fine

Horrible experience, rude doctor who walked out before even completing the tests that had been ordered. Simply said, "I'm done doing this, inconclusive". The other staff were in shock and profusely apologizing for his behavior. Would not recommend ever seeing him to anyone.

Ryan Drake told me I had a seizure which I never had. I have four CT Scans, two EEG, 1 MRI and Akron General supporting that I didn’t have a seizure. It would be to your best interest to go to Akron General. I didn't drive for six months because of Drake's poor judgment.

This Dr. Is not very personal but in fairness I have to be honest. I have been sent to allot of Doctors with my wife. This Dr was the only one who could diagnose her correct for ALS. Sometimes you have to take a look at yourself as well before you leave nasty ratings. We should have went to him earlier.

I wasn't hospitalized for my condition that worsened. Staff are RUDE.. Another doctor did not even look at my intake questions. I realized the paper was behind some other papers when I returned home. Staff told me I could sit on the floor when I needed help making a phone call...even though a chair was there and I am disabled and felt bad. They were too busy to call. So many awful serious medical mistakes. Head nurses are CRUEL and COLD and are a reflection of those who let them act that way.
