Previously encountered pleasant and helpful staff, and patience and clear explanation of diagnosis and procedures.As usual , the front desk and introductory staff were friendly.Unfortunately, clarifying questions received the unpleasant 'reminders' of prior statements. A later staff response to a prescription safety question was defensive and accusatory tone instead of direct response. I am confused by the sudden change from empathetic professionalism.

This is my second visit with Dr. Syracuse and both times he's exceptionally kind, very informative and I walk away understanding exactly what's going on with my eye health. Highly recommend.

When I walked in I was greeted and they were on time very knowledgeable staff and Dr Syracuse explained everything in detail told me what to expect and everything I wanted to know. I set a date for my surgery.Dr Syracuse and his staff made me feel very comfortable and positive about my upcoming surgery. You should see them if you have cataracts.

I received an exam and consultation for needed cataract removal surgery. All of the Technicians, the reception Team and Dr. Syracuse were very friendly, very supportive, and very knowledgeable. I am very comfortable with the team at Horizon for my eye care. They have alleviated a good portion of my apprehension as eyeball surgery approaches.

Dr Syracuse is an excellent eye doctor. He’s very thorough on eye examination and answers any questions you may have.

I began wearing bifocals in the 4th grade and am now 77. Of all the practitioners I have seen over the decades, Dr. Syracuse is the best — kind, gentle, thorough, explaining what my current situation is, as well as what to expect in the future. He monitors prospective issues like glaucoma and macular degeneration, and lets the patient decide when it’s time to address cataract surgery. At the conclusion of his exam, he asks if I have concerns or questions. Both my husband and I see him. My husband has needed eye surgery several times, and each procedure has been executed beautifully and received excellent follow up care. When my elderly aunt mentioned some recent double vision, he sent her to a brain specialist who discovered an aneurysm and saved her life. We believe Dr. Syracuse is The Best.

Dr Syracuse was thorough and took his time to explain everything to me. It was my first visit and I will be taking my children back for their eye exams.

Dr. Syracuse does not leave you feeling confident with his medical knowledge and ophthalmic treatment. His staff lacks respect helpfullness and courtesy.
