My health was destroyed by a fluroquinolone
I am giving Dr. Hrebinko 4 stars because I don't think it is fair for medical professionals, who put in a rigorous week at work, to be target practice, unless they deserve it. He was friendly and wanted to help. Unfortunately, the drug prescribed for my urethritis was a 90 day regimen of Ciprofloxacin, a fluoriquinolone which received the FDAs a stern BLACK BOX warning . I suffered a crippling (and I don't use that word lightly) injury in 1999 whilst on the drug, a nearly complete tear of a lumbar tendon in my back. It took 7 years to heal. In 2011 I began having 5 day relapses which reduced my mobility to near zero. I was able to fully recover from these brief relapses but was always in danger of triggering a new one anywhere, anytime. In 2017 Karl Bushman, MD, began prescribing me low dose oxycodone which has been a life saver, literally, as i was able to escape a fire in the building. On 3 11 25 I suffered the worst relapse of my life and have not fully recovered.

Best Dr I ever had. Worst scare I ever had. Cancer He eased my fears. He explained the operation. He showed results on a screen. Removed cancer. No follow ups. was able to save kidney. Been 9 years now. One more visit in 2020 He gave me every phone no. he had to call him any time-day or night. Love him

Dr. Hrebinko operated on my brother for kidney cancer 7 years ago and my brother is still cancer free. When I was diagnosed with kidney cancer, I wanted only Dr. Hrebinko to operate on me. Even though I am a Professor at UCLA Medical Center and there are many fine surgeons there, I flew to Pittsburgh to have Dr. Hrebinko operate on me. I was not disappointed. He is a fantastic surgeon, as well as a wonderful human being. I just can't thank him enough for saving my brother's and my life!
